Salahaddin is very odd. Just after 1330 uk time, the signal went from perfect to nothing in a few seconds. now sitting at no signal. Hopefully they will come back later

Yes no signal is there.... the other too are 45% each here and thats normal for me.

Yes I know it says 23.5E instead of 21.6E - cant be bothered to set a new satellite up on the box when the easy way of using the 23.5E lnb works just fine. Ive made no secret of the fact Im using the Astra 3B lnb for this - its clearly mentioned in one of my early posts in this thread.


When and if I get around to rigging a separate lnb up for 21 I'll set the rx up properly.

What makes 21.6 East special with our not-so-large dishes, it is crammed between the strong 19.2 and 23.5 East neighbours.
A year or so ago, when many 23.5 East KabelDeutschland transponders below 11700 MHz were switched off, it gave a good boost to the 21.6 East signals.
Still today, strong feeds are happening there, so you may notice them switching on or off!

Also the best dish pointing may differ between the transponders.

By the way, Afaq comes in today with a fragile 5 to 6 dB.
Both SalahAddin and AlRai are stronger and still trouble free.

hvdh has identified why Salahaddin and probably frequencies around it disappeared. A Sky Sports feed on 11527V SR 1000 on 23.5E has been blatting it all afternoon.

Its back now at usual strength

Saklahaddin booming in at 16.3dB and Afaq at 8dB (both on Fibo). MBC feed is also strong at 16.6dB.. odd green screen on one side though.

Its not snowing, so Ive tweaked the 21/23 lnb a bit. Ive now just about locked Baghdad TV (109722V 2170 3/4) (Tagged as service 2)

Its very marginal atm tho.
