Is anyone getting Al Alam. It is listed on Flysat and King of Sat but not Lyngsat. King of Sat has it on 10961.50 H 2500 but I have never even got a hint of a signal. I get pretty well everything else although I notice that for some reason Afak on 11527 won't lock at the moment even at 7 dB.

Afak locks here at as low as 6dB but it does take a few seconds to recognise signal. I think it's because of a low SR.

I get nothing from Al Alam.

I have tried yesterday and got lock on both frequencies 11527V and 11531V, but only same AL-Rai TV. Frequencies are too close one to other and if there Al Alam present than because of weak signal AL-Rai TV takes over.

I have 11527 and 11530 tuned in. 11527 is now locking at 5.3 dB, if I nudge the dish it goes up to 7 dB but goes out of lock so it probably has something to do with the stronger signal on 11530 9.5 dB. Al Alam is a different issue, it is supposed to be on 10960/10962 but I have a feeling it is not on the air.

10960V, 1500, DVB-S2, QPSK, 1/2 carries data signals

10961H, 2500, DVB-S, 3/4 is transmitting a feed (EB0000)

Sorry, I misspelled channel name, according to King of Sat on 11527V and 11531V should be Afaq TV and Alrai TV, but on both frequencies only Alrai TV comes up. By now I can not get anything on 10961H 2500 3/4.

i've not had Al Alam,
but i get KNN sometimes,
but noticed the signal is better in the afternoon...

im getting a decent signal on Azaal Tv,
i've noticed everyday for a couple of hours it just has a black screen,
anyone else noticed that?

I suspect my problem with Azal TV is the very low symbol rate - it might be too low for the 7020 to be happy with.

KNN is pretty strong at my place. Azaal TV even stronger. But I can not lock anything on 10961H 2500 3/4, so no Al Alam at all.

Yes I noticed also. Azal TV (or http://www.azaal.tv/) is from Yemen.

There is another Yemeni now on 10990 H 1600 5/6. Not too strong, breaking up sometimes
According Lyngsat & Flysat it should be Al Huja TV, but the logo on screen is from Al Sahat http://www.lyngsat.com/tvchannels/ye/Al-Sahat-TV.html

whether the feed is still on or not im not sure,
maybe be worth a try...

SIgnal successfully locked here - its scanned in as AJA W6. Poor BER on it though (15000 ish) May be at balck level as there no trace of any jittery video
