Playing with a new set-up: 1.8m PF, TBS6903X
What CPU/GPU are you using to decode the video? I have an i7 6700K 4.0GHz but VLC just gives me a black screen, PotPlayer gives about 22FPS but only uses around 60% processer time, I may have a bottle neck elsewhere but not convinced I'd get the full 50FPS with 100% CPU usage anyway.

I read 12th gen and on Intel processors can hardware decode 10bit 4:2:2 4K HEVC so would be interested to know if anyone has tried one.

i7-9700 3GHz, 32G RAM, Intel UHD 630 i.e. nothing fancy, an Ebay ex-corporate HP box running W10 2019 LTSC. It's on a 15" 1080P screen and it was not completely smooth when a detailed scene was panned on 13E 4k1 demo as attached . I normally use a 2560x1440 monitor.

An older i5 (see attached) would play for a few seconds then freeze (TBS6903 card).

Thanks s-band, I made some recordings of this feed last week:

What's strange with PotPlayer is it plays the recordings smoothly for a second or two and then slows down and plays every frame in order at 22FPS i.e. 1 second of 50FPS video takes just over 2 seconds to display rather than dropping 28 frames in realtime :-confused

I think it is possible to trim .ts files without issue so when I get home later this week I will upload some clips in a new thread and see if members can work out what is needed to play this format correctly.

Hi,
at the moment the usual NHL feed (10762 V 30000 8PSK) is FTA and there's a new channel (ESPN EMEA Service 1), but the picture is "jerky".

Can someone check on this?

Tks!

NASCAR showing now has occasional picture freeze here, I've also seen picture breakup once.

Edit: That was with 'Openbox' V8S, GTMedia V9 Prime does not have the same freezing but has more picture breakup instead, though it is mostly smooth.

Must admit, only ran it for about ten seconds - will give it a longer look at.
