In my opinion transponders structure on Astra 1N may look like this, with small adjustments plus or minus,most will be on UK beam and the rest on PanEuropean 1 and 2 beam.Perhaps the rest of the slots will replace some transponders on Astra 2A, 2B and others will be steerable.

Alas, said Freesat box died the capacitor way an annoyingly two weeks ago! Didn't want to buy a new one or repair the thing until I knew we could actually see something!

It's possible the Add Channels feature on the HD box behaves differently. I had an old Pace box (1998 vintage) until a few weeks ago but got rid of it as it was gathering dust in a corner. Can you try your Freesat box in Non-Freesat mode to see if you are getting a signal ?

Is anyone on the Costa near Malaga receiving these through the Non-Freesat search?

@satesco: we know the possible frequencies, but the rest is pure speculation. Like they say at that ESC: "still anything can happen".

Until now almost nothing they've done made sense. Not the 1000 Mbaud carrier, neither the short Sky News visit etc. We dont know what they are up to, well I hope they do.

it officially is in commercial use, however it just broadcasts one channel noone officially can receive... and now they transmit the most expensive zeroes ever. Somehow I like it

Looks about right for frequencies (as per 19.2E) but doubt 11201 H would be used (maybe reserved for beacon frequency ?). The final S/R, FEC, DVB standard etc are likely to vary.

Those are the correct centre carrier frequencies, although any could be moved over to HD - 11171 has already been noted active with HD content

Delete 11201, 11186 is the highest "2C band" frequency - above 11200 starts to intrude on the Eutelsat block

No real need for existing 2A / 2B frequencies to be changed for new freqs - they can just be swapped over to 1N.

Getting 10964H extremely well here in Manchester even though it's currently lashing it down!! C4HD on 12607H is breaking up it's raining that hard (and that's on a Triax TD64 with Invocom LN. Can't get 11053H, is this still transmitting?

which is hereby I want to draw your attention to some limitations of the commonly used and excellent CrazyScan soft,
besides his known advantages the Level display is not accurate,
- see the attached last pic - I mean the relative values

Very nice speccy I'm sure. Might be a little out of the price range for our hobby

Think I'll stick with Crazyscan, despite the limitations

Edit: Better if you try 11053 H 22000 5/6 as 10964 is not locking at the moment.

Oh! Yes! 11053 H 22000 5/6 is locking here now... and I have a so little dish (60cm) and old lnb. 11053 is from 1N??
Next week I'm going to buy a new lnb (Inverto black ultra) and I hope all will be better. If next weeks the situation will be more clear (and good) I'll buy a bigger dish.

But are they going to move BBC and ITV on 1N?

My already low expectations for additional FTA channels or any new tps not already rented by sky are lowered by the day. Nearing the third week of second position testing (and there is still no transmission for the secondary market - ie UK and Europe, don't know about Africa - beyond testing mode) and test transmissions are mostly of/for sky, I begin to suspect Sky having rented 24 spot beam tps to set up their advent calendar, lighting up one program each day, starting december 1st ...

I've got the 8590 which is similar but not quite s versatile as the 8594 - yours has a PCMCIA slot in the front if I'm not mistaken? When I got my unit I had the added bonus of the band extension card being already fitted which extends it's usable range up to 1.79GHz but nowhere as near as the 2.9GHz covered on your 8594.

Llew: I purchased my Analyser as I primarily use it for commissioning/maintenance of Band II (FM) transmission installations but they come in useful for all sorts of things, appreciate they are a bit pricey for hobby use alone.

a few minutes after your post it was there (DVB-S 22000 5/6, as strong as before but no services transmitted) later gone, back again and atm gone or changed parameters.

considering ses said this was to provide additonal capicty at 28e for fta services i doubt sky have rented them all, plus it wouldnt make ocmmerical sense for sky to do it they aitn cheap to rent and they have to pay for renting and then persudad channesl to make hd channels and get them launched quickly i dnt see it happenbing, just because it went into service how we like it yet doesnt mean it wont, channel 5 have annouce 5+1 for december i think that is when we can expect channel to start launch fully on 1n ses are probally doing more tests as with the channels themself
