I am getting a lock on 11126 at 5.9db MER on my meter
But when I connect to a receiver I get no signal
Any ideas??

Cheers
Trigger, are you sure you have all the correct parameters set for the transponder, and that you are using a DVB-S2 compatible receiver?

DVB-S2 8PSK 11127 V 22000 2/3

Is 11053H still transmitting a carrier, I can't seem to get lock here but could be my receiver.
There's something funny about that carrier. It is there all the time, at the same strength (which is pretty strong here), but sometimes it is impossible to lock. At first I thought it was local interference but I've tried from various locations and get the same results (which is lock sometimes and not others).

all above on 1m dish here in tenerife
That is to be expected - I am interested in the equipment required for the other beams. Here in Gran Canaria a big (2.4m Channel Master or 3.2m prime focus) is required to pull in the other beams (not all TPs). I am hoping 1N UK spot might come in an a smaller dish.

DVB-S2 8PSK 11127 V 22000 2/3

Yes all checked and double checked.
Tried 3 different HD receivers.
I would have thought given the strength I'm getting I would see something.
Stupid question but I assume it's running at the moment.

What other birds at 28.xºE can you get. On Gran Canaria a 1.35m dish will only pick up the South Beams and EB1 Fixed but I do know that the other two islands of Las Palmas have a different experience - please share.

Yes we get 2a north which I suspect you dont
And 2b north Vert transponders

What meter are you using? Is it displaying any errors. Does it have image decode? Maybe 5.9dB MER is just not enough for an 8PSK transponder. How are you doing on 10964H?

Using a horizon HD-S2
Errors were at 3.5 -3 (from memory double check tomorrow)
No image I'm afraid
10964 nothing - nothing on the spectrum

This is a fairly basic meter (really pleased with it for a point shoot type model) but would have thought that if the meter got a lock then should see something.
Will try some more receivers tomorrow.

Cheers
Ch 4 on 12267 gives me very similar readings (slightly lower ) but is of course QPSK and 27500 not 8psk and 22000. Could this be the difference?

I've got a Satcatcher Excel TV Mk4 and that meter will lock a 3dB C/N signal, which is well below any hope of decoding a picture.

Fuerteventura is much the same as Trigger in Lanzarote. Can get south beams on 80cm (but usually siggest 1mtr). 1.2 can just about hold up north beams and a 135 brings in clearly the 2A/2B EB fixed (again verticals same as trigger)

My 3.7 mtr though is struggling to hold 2d Horizontals 24/7 and many of the 3mtr dishes here lose 2d early evening. Unlike Tenerife where the 3 mtr offsets can hold 2d horizontals just about 24/7. Lots of differences between the islands even with the 2a and 2b beams it seems.

I am currently thinking of a 5 mtr dish which should give an extra 2db gain which may be enough. BUT do not want to spend in case all change next year with the 2d replacement. Time to look at iptv methinks...but where is the fun in that!!
