No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

Any minor quibble with energy supplies causes a rise in the cost anyway, there's also scaremongering about electricity supplies being pretty strained this winter and powercuts being more prevalent, so, no heat, no light, no power, if the scaremongers have their way, this winter could be quite grim... :-rofl2

So, buy up your calor gas, stock up on petrol, buy a generator, and prepare for scummy people nicking off with it all... :-lol

I've been out Oiling my Garden Bench ....

A euphamism I've not heard before.

It's also got rather foggy round here in the past hour.

Arrived down at Maison Fosse de l'Argent at just before 9 this evening and the temperature is still 19C.

Just back after a trip to York. Wednesday was a grim afternoon - we spent the morning in the warmth of the National Railway Museum, by the time we came out it was bucketing it down, and there was one of those stiff northerlies that cuts through you and chills you down in no time.

Oooh err.

Big change - still very mild (muggy, even) but we are having a mega Storm right now.

The lightning just lit up the entire Vale of Mowbray and the thunder is deafening.

Another warm morning, 21C according to the car display. We have a warm wind blowng from the south, unimaginatively named the vent du sud, which brings hot air straight over from Africa.

We've just had a thunderstorm and now it's raining, which is a shame as I was thinking having a barby this evening and asking for the old thread to be reopened. :-rofl2

Yes, went out to indulge in my Sunday Tintinnabulation and on the return journey I had to engage the Car Air-Con (Open the window), it's so mild.

Could be, It's still raining here (have just discovered a leak in the roof - groan) but it's warm enough to not have need to light the fire yet.

Bucketed it down here for about two hours, some roads impassable as the drains are blocked with leaves.

Tomorrow looks similar, but with six hours of constant precipitation.

We've just had a big flash of sheet lightning, a huge clap of thunder and a short rain storm, but at the moment the vast majority of storms are down Hampshire and Isle of Wight way.
