@ Zorba ... 12148H i get zero signal according to that monitor software and as both my cards are only 'freesatbysky' i wouldn't be able to see anything more than 'subscribe' type message so never bother heading into that part of the EPG. According to Lyngsat that is a 2A North Beam and none of them 13? can be 'seen' by it, 2B North yes some signal, 2A North nothing.

@ BLUEPLATINUM ... cheers, strange that as my Sky ex-sub card is registered just outside the Circular and so gets BBC London, had assumed that would put me into the red zone but i can get FIVE clear as through the digibox when BBC London shows not a pixel !

See again post #26 (and others)

You are getting FTV Five which is not on 2D.

The FTA version of Five that is on 2D will be as available/unavailable as BBC London.

@BigDutch if you select 405 it would say subscribe or no signal.

After spending half a day on one of my 4.2m dish installations today, i have come to the conclusion that the theory put forward by some on this thread is true and there is an interfering signal coming into the dish from West (most probably from Badr at 26East)

Good news is, i think i have found a working solution to the problem that will save the day.
Using some temporary setup,i managed to block a large amount of the interference and got most of the missing 10773H signal back.
But i must test this on few other dishes to confirm its workability first.

I'm not going to say "I told you so" but did your solution involve a fairy liquid bottle, sticky back plastic and some bacofoil ? :)

That could be used to make an effective missile.

Well, Valencia Here. 135 (not gregorian anymore) and same loss of FIVE trasnponder (affecting all the other channels there too, so i also had to move to BB2 Scotland) . After 20:00 Five is lost. Surprisingly enough one of the E4 More4, etc l4 lost transporders works great now, its back!! (still weak signal for Channel 4's) I just pointed the feedhorn slightly higher (up) and got that improvement,. Maybe those interferneces you are talking about can be reduced pointing the LNB to a upper direction. I have 91% signal and 84% quality in almost all channels all day long and i am sure that power cannot just dissapear after 22:00, must be interferenced someway

Not noticed any differences at all in reception 70kms south of Valencia. And nether have a few others in the area...
In fact I would go to say that these nice clear cool nights have actually IMPROVED Astra 2d horizontal frequencies....
And the C4+1, E4 and M4 that were going off early in the summer are holding much better now also.
So it must be an extreme fringe issue....well at the moment anyway.....

thats exactly what I said! E4 is better these days than in summer when they nearly dissapeared. But BBC1 london and Five are worse than ever...

BBC2 England is on the same freq as BBC1 London and Five, 10773
And like I say that has IMPROVED for me over the last few weeks...Normally I used to have BBC2 pixelating from say 5pm (Spain Time), but it can still be there perfect at 7pm spain time!

Well, what i keep on saying is that 10773 is worse from september on than ever on 2010 (even though it has never been a very good frec). I have always had five till 21 but now i have problems much sooner.
So its the opposite to what happens to you! ;o)

On the other hand i had quite lost both (the all time super stronger) CH4 and E4 Ch4+1 frecs last summer. I was devastated. And couldnt understand why the power there just decreased till the channels dissapeared 24h. And now i got that one back (the E4, Ch4+1 mx 84% Q) and still very low signal at Ch4 (max 76% Q wich it makes it unviewable most of the day)

But, something else must happen to this phenomenon. Sometimes of the day i have 91% signal strenght ad 85% signal quality on my Vantage, and as you all know, they all will dcrease each afternoon and slowly end up at 75%, and then suddenly fading to zero. Is that possible? where are the 69% 65% 61% 55% etc...why is not a 74% Q valid for freesat to be decoded. Somethin ELSE must be mixing on those bits... 74% should be ok. very ok.

I don't think it is a matter of disinclination, more likely wariness about what can be discussed on open Forum.
