I reckon we might be able to find one or two more of the far eastern time zones via iptv. Ive got a few sites bookmarked so I'll be seeing if I can find any new countries via iptv as well - at least during the slack first half of the day when things are restricted to one sat channel

Oh so it does. However western Kazakhstan is on +5, but the main cities where the tv companies are based are in the east at +6. So 1800 it is.

AFAIK theres only one channel in North Korea - the state owned KCBC. It broadcasts in Thaicom 5 and cant be picked up in the UK. Ive seen suggestions the channel may be broadcast on the KCBC website but Ive had a look in the past and theres nothing obvious

Russia may have 9 timezones but the only one that matters is +3 Moscow. Russia Today sometimes shows stuff from the Pacific timezone but thats an exception. You certainly wont find 9 sets of celebrations.

Last NYE they covered a few celebrations in cities in Siberia and the Urals in the middle of Russia. People who only have Freeview can watch, unless they are stuck with a useless PSB only transmitter. Bearing in mind it is 'RT', don't expect genius.

geordieman theres absolutely no point whatsoever asking questions about what might happen in assorted countries - we make it up as we go along on the night. If we find something new thats all well & good. If not it doesnt matter - its just a bit of fun.

The best you will get as regional channels in the uk is BBC Scotland with a piper strangling a cat on the ramparts of Edinburgh Castle - Im pretty sure all the English regionals are networked to London.
