Sadly this is why I buy most things on Amazon, I try and support UK/EU businesses but sometimes their service is somewhat below par.

With regard to having a UK plug, I've found the Edision box along with various other receivers (Skybox M3 and Wetek Play being two I have) have a fairly standard DC connector required.

12V, 1.0A, centre positive.

I have a UK plug (DC transformer) that matches that and also has the correct size connector for all three of these boxes. It’s from one of the white BT Openreach VDSL/FTTC modems from a couple of years ago (before the ISPs started handing out VDSL capable routers).

I support this comment fully.....only a couple of times in the last two years has there been 'problems' and Amazon so quick to respond and recify things and thoughts...........for me faultless and professional.
Back to the Edision topic....I stupidly somehow managed to throw away the remote control with other rubbish so ordered a new one with Amazon....€18,24 delivered here in Spain from Germany in 3 days.....well pleased and again the Amazon system of confirmation, tracking updates etc leaves no doubts and questions.
Only my findings of course but comments based over the last 4 years of service.

I now, somewhat belatedly, have the UPS Tracking Number.

Yes indeed. Ordered a TV for my son off Amazon, they somehow forgot to load onto the van on delivery day..no problem they sent someone else just to deliver the TV which turned up at 9pm...superb customer service!

Better remote and doesn't have cables coming out from every side like the Octopus SX88+
Might have less Ram than the Octopus but doesn't seem to make any difference.

The Edision has a Scart socket, if that's applicable.

Also subtle differencies in the menu structure, and I think tuner is more sensitive..

What I just read in another forum ( German), is surprising.
The person asks if we can put a SW of the SX88 in the Edision Primo
because there is not often update.
Is that true?

There are occasional updates, but of course there's no point in issuing updates if there isn't anything that actually needs updating.

OK thanks I bought the SX88+ anyway after sending back the SX88, as for cables coming out from all sides it's only the power lead on the left ! How is the menu better on the Edison ?
