So I've got my Mutant HD51 and I cannot fathom how to do something I think is quite simple but configuration of this is proving to be problematic.

Basically I want to do the following:

Tuner A > Stab HH100 > Output 1 on Twin IBU
Tuner B > Diseqc 2 Port switch > Port 1 > Output 2 on Twin LNB
> Port 2 > 28.2 Fixed dish

I want tuner B setup as "Second cable of motorised LNB" but has the 28.2 Fixed dish as well. However there are no Diseqc settings for the switch using this setting
in Enigma2.

How can I achieve the above?

Also I have the CM1.2 on a VBOX II which is connected to my Edision Primo IP S2, I did think about getting this on the Mutant HD 51 somehow, but that just seems an extremely complicated way. Initially I tried using it direct on the HD 51 and using the loop/pass through to connect the Edision but it had far too much signal loss and negates the point of having the CM1.2 up (Feed hunting and more margin on some weak birds)

At the moment I've just left that on the Edision, because I don't want to introduce any signal loss. But it would be nice to have that CM1.2 & Gibby on both boxes. I was going to order a IBU Twin for the CM1.2 but have just left the IBU Single on there for now.

You need to change tuner B to advanced mode and you'll have all the necessary options. You'll need to configure each satellite separately but it won't take long.

Satellite 28.2e - LNB 2 with port 2 on the switch
Every other satellite on LNB 1 on port 1.

However, you'll probably run into issues with that configuration as the receiver will try to use both tuners for Gibby channels but only tuner A can actually move the dish.

I've tried a load of settings in Advanced mode but it just gets confused and thinks Tuner B has a motor as well.

Also I need 28.2 on both dishes so leave A to all sats.

My Satellite Setup
90cm motorised dishes(98x90)+fixed+multiLNB+24Unicable.
Currently 55 satellites, 61°West to 57°East.

DB800S-HD VU+DUO2, VU+Ultimo4K, TBS5925, OctagonSX88.
Recycled as the owner.
My Location
North of Madrid (28703 Spain) -3Km of IKEA (40.545847, -3.612012).:-)
2 tuner, very limited.
Not being able to mix the configuration is a problem, the receiver does not know what is the LNB of an engine
The issue of the use of 2 antennas to the same satellite (fixed/motor), is not a problem, send the antenna that is closest to the satellite.
By default it will use the fixed one, if you need to use another TP/frequency, then send the motor.

In the VU + DUO2 with 4 tuner is how it works (100%).
You do not have the option that you want (second LNB moto if), but not DiSEqC with the second LNB moto port1 and fixed port2.
I do not have the receiver, but in general the Enigma2 settings are similar, you only have the option of using the second LNB of a double LNB in the motorized antenna.

Do you have the losses using the output of the simple tuner connectors of the Mutant HD51 (loop)?
In general use the loop between tuner inside the same receiver, it only works in the same slot, you have slotA and slotB, it does not work.
Some receivers have the option loop between tuner (doubles), but it does not work, it is configured and then they need an external splitter (verified).

The problem is that differentiate channels/satellites and with 2 tuner can not, think this trick.
Apart from Astra at 28.2E, would create another satellite for example at 28.3E, it is easy to prepare in the satellites.xml file, search the channels and then you would have in favorites the 2 satellites.
Ordered with the same name the first of 28.2 and the second of 28.3.
You can also order them for example, the first from 1 to 100 and the second from 101 to 200.

It's more stubborn, but you could have then ..
Tuner A.-Motor Tuner
Tuner B.-DiSEqC, Port1 Astra 28.3 (2LNB moto), Fixed Port2 28.2
-------------

Tuner A.- motor.
Tuner B.- DiSEqC, Puerto1 Astra 28.3 (2LNB motor), Puerto2 Fija 28.2

Yes there is quite a considerable loss through the Mutant HD51 using the loop, I tried this going to my Edision, path would have been Tuner A&B > Diseqc switch > tuner of Edision, this would be perfect in theory but even without the switch there is loss of signal, even with Mutant HD51 in "Deep Standby"

What CJ mentioned to me earlier is to put CM 1.2 + 28.2 (with Diseqc switch) Tuner B & Gibby 1m Tuner A in to Mutant HD51
Then use 2nd output on Twin LNB in to Edision.

Enigma can be quite a pain for config, I have used it since it came out and always a "Workaround" it seems development hasn't carried on with it, I don't know why you still cannot add a new satellite from the remote controller. And you would think in 2018 the boxes could all talk to each other and do the following. "Hi Box A, this is Box B, are you recording on Dish 2?, ok Can you move Dish 2 to X position"

They are intelligent receivers, not smart/Son receptores inteligentes, no listos.:-rofl2:-doh

Today I could not add all TPs by hand from a satellite.
I use them since 2000 +/- and I prefer to enter the data with the computer, it is appreciated.

With 4 Tuner you would have it easier, but it is not possible with that receiver (similar configuration in VU+DUO2).
It works how you want.
TunerA.- Motor.
TunerB.- 2º LNB motor.
TunerC.- DiSEqC, 1fix, 2 fixed.
TunerD.- Loop tuner C
-----------------

Yes this is the trouble, I went for the Mutant HD51 as it does certain things other boxes do not, you cannot find one box that does everything :)

Please excuse my use of Paint, I really need to get myself a Wacom tablet or similar, I find it a pain using a mouse.
Just knocked up this diagram.

This is the only logical way I can think to connect all my dishes to 2 boxes, the Mutant HD51 will control all motors:

Well I have everything wired up as above and it's all working great.
But how does one switch tuners from A - B on Enigma2? I could be tuned to something and the signal is weak and I think ah no problem I'll switch to the bigger dish. I don't see an option for this, how do you guys work around it?

I understand that, but I want to be able to flick between tuners, I could be using the dish on another box or signal drops and want to move the bigger one. Does not seem to be an easy way to flip between the two tuners.

Weather has been nice so been outside playing around. Updating this thread rather than create a new one.
Still can't achieve to what I want to work...

I want both LNB outputs on the motorised dish to go in to my Mutant HD51, plus I want to add one output of my 28.2 Fixed dish to it using a 2x1 switch.

Dish is configured as follows:

STB Tuner A: > Motor > 2x1 > Port A LNB 1 on motorised dish, Port B Fixed 28.2
STB Tuner B: > Second cable of motorised dish.

Enigma is configured as follows:

Tuner A > Advanced > Usals All satellites, Switch Port A. 28.2 Switch Port B
Tuner B > 2nd cable of motorised dish.

However if I'm on 28.2 and watching/recording something it will not allow me to select another channel on 28.2 or any other satellite as it's greyed out. I'm assuming its because it knows the 2x1 switch is on port B.

Looking at your diagram you have both motors connected to your Mutant, in different tuners, Tuner A connected to the Gibertini, motorized dish, and Astra 2, fixed dish, with Tuner B connected to a Channel Master, via a V-Box II, is this correct?
If so Tuner B needs to be set to Advance, Diseqc 1.2, and you can't use Usals, as I assume you are using a 36v motor.

Can you please confirm the cabling set up, for both tuners.

Is H-H the motor?
The wiring doesn't look correct, in the diagram, I would assume that the wire, from your motorized dish LNB, should go into the motor, then into the Diseqc switch, with the cable from the LNB, on your fixed dish, going directly into the Diseqc switch, and then 1 cable, from your Diseqc switch into Tuner A, or Tuner B, with the second cable, from your twin LNB, on your motorized dish, then going directly into the other tuner.

Have you got the motor working?

Yes it's a H-H motor and the dish moves, as long as I am not tuned in to 28.2e and recording (Switch on Port B.)

I had it wired like this before:

Tuner A >DiSEqC Switch
Switch A: H-H > LNB of Motorised Dish
Switch B: 28.2 Fixed LNB Dish

But because motor was on Port A of the switch, it would not see DiSEqC motor commands when switch is on B (Recording/watching 28.2), so put the motor before the switch this time.

First stick to the motorized dish, take the cable, illustrated in green. from the LNB to the motor, it should have LNM in, or something similar, on it, then run a cable from the motor, to the Diseqc switch, and run a cable from the Diseqc switch to your receiver.
At this point disconnect the cable, from the Astra 2 dish, from the Diseqc switch.

Next set up Tuner A, to Advanced configuration, select a satellite, e.g. Astra 1, 19.2E, and input the settings LNB 1, Diseqc 1.2, and use USALS for this satellite. Next add a few other satellites and check if the motor is working correctly.
You can also try recording, and viewing other transponders, on the same satellite, to see if both tuners are working.
Once you have this working connect the cable, from the Astra 2 dish, to the Diseqc switch and set this up as LNB 2.

Once you have this working connect the cable, from the Astra 2 dish, to the Diseqc switch and set this up as LNB 2.
That's how I tried it before, but if the motor is after the Diseqc switch and the STB is tuned in to 28.2e through port B of the Diseqc switch, no USALS/Diseqc commands will get to the motor as it is on Port A of the Diseqc switch.

In Either situation, motor before or after the switch the STB will not allow the motor to move if it is on 28.2e because it knows it's using Port B of the Diseqc switch. But if I do not record on 28.2e the motor will move correctly.

I'm trying to achieve the following.

2x LNB outputs from the Motorised dish to the STB going to tuner A and tuner B so I can record/zap at the same time on any satellite it's moved to.
1x LNB output from the Fixed dish so 28.2e can be viewed without moving the dish and if its recording on the fixed dish, it can move the motorised dish to tune in to any other satellite or 28.2e using the 2nd output of the LNB on the motorised dish.

The only way I think I might be able to achieve this is a 2nd Diseqc switch on Tuner B fed with fixed 28.2 and 2nd output of the LNB on motorised dish. And select Tuner B is Equal to Tuner A.
