I'd like to be the first to congratulate Topper on his "Treble". Even more impressive is his placing of 10th overall. I'm quietly pleased with coming in second and top 'rookie'. I have really enjoyed my first season and am already looking forward to next year. Having now got an idea of strategy and budgeting, I'll probably finish last!!

Cheers Pete, I have no explanation as to what I did different this year, although two years ago I think I finished third. I have to congratulate Vettel, despite wanting either a Brit or an Aussie to win, with 10 pole positions and 5 wins I really think Vettel deserves it. I would have been gutted if FA had won after the team orders debacle where no points were deducted from either driver or team, I did however wonder if in todays race the Renaults positioned themselves where they did deliberately :-rofl2:-rofl2

Maybe that's why he rather petulantly shook his fist at Petrov? Although I think it was at me, as having studiously avoided Senor Alonso all season I ditched Kubica and picked him as my second driver for this race. Kinda drove a nail into his coffin didn't it!!

I got confused by the Database Closed notice: normally it means scores not updated. But they were - I forgot to recognise it really indicated "finis".

So, Pete not only beat me to being the first to congratulate you, Topper, but also beat me as Rookie of the Year.

Second Rookie and Seventh overall is ok, but I shall be back!

Anyway, heartiest congratulations to both of you. No shaking fists here.

Shame a two time WDC couldn't get past a Rookie on Probation.

Very happy for Vettel and gutted for Webber: But the best man won.

In fact, the Drivers' Table is a pretty accurate reflection for once - the new points sytem works.

Short and full table attached as png file

1. Topper - Tossers (also winning the Asia & Americas Cup and European Cup)

His previous best was 3rd in 2007, the first year of PFF1 competition, and has always been top 10 regular, so it should come as no surprise that Topper would eventually become the headline act, and how in the last season.

Although the Tossers didn't arise to the summit until Germany, 2010 really has been Topper's year with a world 10th place finish, completing the year in style with 139pts (the season record) and 138pts in Brazil and Abu Dhabi no less.

2. sonnetpete - Equipe Etranger

Continuing the tradition of debutants making a big splash, sonnetpete finishes his first and last SupaLiga season in 2nd, and although he was some way off the winner, he was miles away from the rest as well.

Enjoying an early season tit-for-tat with kreacher's Creatures before Topper rushed past, Equipe remained consistent in the second half to comfortably secure 2nd.

3. kreacher - Creatures

Having endured, by his standards, a tumulturous 2009 with a 9th finish, kreacher was hoping to get back to his 2007 form when the Indian came 2nd to a vintage F1 Aberdeen team.

The early months looked very promising for the Creatures, exchanging top spot with Equipe prior to the Tosser's dominance. kreacher's men fell to 3rd but continued to struggle and briefly relinquished the last PFF1 Cup place to Dazdazdazzy's BTTR before reawakening from their slumber to string together three consecutive centuries in the final trio of races to take 3rd.

Hey, I had no idea Salty was standing down .................. I must offer my personal thanks to him for getting the show on the road. My first year and it has proved jolly interesting doing this alongside actually being a lifelong armchair fan of the Sport (Sorry, Entertainment ...............). New angles, and all that.

Thanks again, Salty!

Well I certainly do have to thank Jason for his sterling work the last few years, not because of my success this year, but because it has not possible to quantify the interest the PFF1 League has generated on this forum, excitement, dissapointment and at time frustration has been the order of the day it has however been extremely worthwhile so my hope is that a new league will prevail for next year.

Oh and where is my badge Salty25........
