Is there CAM to get skytv on DVB-S tuner card?

Any thoughts yet? Do you think it could be the speed at which the card is being read? i read something about this in another forum. Also, entering the boxid manually? I cant seem to be able to do this- when i neter it (in full and just first 9 digits according to manual) it just says ndscam disabled.

You could try adding the control word decrypter DCW.dll to MDPlugins (search for Skystar.org + DCW.dll). Ignore the keyfile. Chacking some sites, some people find it helps, but maybe it's only if DCW's aren't being read at all during the decrypt process. To check, I added it to my MDPlugins to make sure that it doesn't interfere with the existing dll's in the plug-in.

You need the first ten digits in the box id, leaving any extra digit off.

are there any other emulators out there that i can use? i downloaded a program called fausto that can read my card but dont know how to use it with dvbviewer. does anyoine know anything about this?

Try the DCW plugin I mentioned above your post first. Haven't really checked out other emulators.

still no joy. it wont work at all when boxid is entered. i read my card with the fausto emulator and it gave me this:

What should happen when the card is read successfully? What else can i check? I should have a sky freesat card to test on later in the week.

The only difference was that I had CARD TYPE=3, which I understood was for the new Sky card, and CMD=0 instead of 12 as in yours. But your file works OK in mine anyway, so that seems to be a dead end. Run out of ideas I'm afraid.

yeah its a bit of a weird one.
Do you think there is a possibilty of it being the card reader? You and kuchluch can get it all working using different card readers.

Do you think it might be due to the card reader not being fast enough to deal with the decryption? maybe i should try something like the infinity card reader.

Nah, shouldn't think so. Just unearthed a crabby old Cryptic serial card programmer I last used about 15 years ago in the days of wafer cards etc., and it works fine.

Really? then what could it be? could my card be different somehow? sometimes though when i start cas studio the card reader doesnt work and it says "invalid -100" and i have to unplug the usb and plug it back in again. Also it tells me to plug it into a high speed usb. I have ordered a key freesat card, what would you put it down to if that doesnt work? is there any one i can get to fix this for me possibly by using remote login or something? i would happily pay for the effort.

Just a small, perhaps irrelevant point - looking at the logs again, I notice that your card has a different chipset to mine. Doubt that it means anything though, as the card is detected.

My card is a blue one, is that the same as yours?

CAS studio does fail to recognise my card reader at time though, giving me the reading INVALID-100 , then i have to reconnect it and my pc tells me to connect it to a faster usb port, although it still gives me that reading no matter what usb its connected too.

im tempted to try another card reader, its only then that i can rule that out as being the cause. I have ordered a freesat card but i get the feeling that might not work either. - due to my abmissmal luck so far

yeah its a hd card with full sub. It works on my skybox. - although my skybox works without it also.
