Advice Needed Low Symbol Rate Dutch Radio feeds on 16°E

Hello,

Thank you very much for your e-mail. in Timisoara, Romania, I have the same reception, like frequency and SR. Probably from natural causes I lost some % at the signal level.

All the best to you.

Thank you Victor for your reply. The signal is not that strong like the transponders 11.512 GHz Vertical Polarisation, Symbolrate 29950, FEC 2/3 or 11637 GHz, Horizontal Polarisation, Symbolrate 30000, FEC 5/6. But it's okay
What you said it depends how the weather is. Here in Hengelo (Gelderland), Netherlands now the conditions are optimal for a good signal. But during a rain shower the signal will decreased immediately.

Do you or one of the other readers of this topic where i can find the signalS from..

Qmusic Belgium
(DVB-S2 QSPK 12.541,3 GHz, Horizontal Polarisation, Symbolrate 405, FEC 3/5)

Joe Belgium
(DVB-S2 QSPK 12.541,8 GHz. Horizontal Polarisation, Symbolrate 405, FEC 3/5)

Qmusic Netherlands (QNL AMS)
(DVB-S2 QSPK 12.542,3 GHz. Horizontal Polarisation, Symbolrate 405, FEC 3/5)

Are the frequencies changed maybe?

Best Regards,
Arno

Hello Arno,
I'm not able to receive the frequencies that you have mentioned. Personaly I think that the mentioned channels are no more active.
For me, Joe FM remains one of the best radio stations.
Victor

Hi Victor,
Thank You for your reply. I think you're right that Qmusic and Joe Belgium has (temporary?) left the satellite reception via Eutelsat 16.
Joe Netherlands and Radio 538 are still onair. On my Zgemma H9.2S receiver is it possible to hear the sound from both radiostations.
Arno.

Arno,
My reception is with Octagon SF 8008 Supreme.
Basically the problem remains the quality of radio stations. Nowadays when the offer and possibilities are so huge, we like hobbyist, we are choosing the quality of sound and playlist. And this on my opinion will be the challenge.
Victor

Victor,
Absolutely true!

I found a new transponder on Eutelsat 16. Frequency DVB-S 12.504 GHz Symbolrate 500 FEC 3/4
I'm curious what will happen on this transponder. I think dedicated for a radiostation in the near future!!!

Hi Victor,

I receive on my TBS 5927 PC receiver this signals (Radio 538 and Joe) on Eutelsat 16° East. Dedicated (as backup) for FM transmitters here in the Netherlands.

Frequency is: DVB-S, 10.955,68 GHz, H , Symbolrate 355, FEC 2/3.
I found 10954 H too.

However, I haven’t come across 12504 H, 500, which you assume could be a possible radio station.
At 21 dB, which is the signal level in your area, I should also be picking up some kind of signal on this frequency. But I can’t detect any trace of a signal.
However, there are a few frequencies on the vertical polatitate; for now, I don’t know why they’re active.

If you want to know what I found in the upper band, here’s what I picked up at 16.0E.

I managed to lock this frequency 12504H 500 this morning shortly after it was reported. But it has gone now looking on the spectrum analyser. I will check again tomorrow.

Nice Catch Satesco what you receive with your satellitereceiver! So strange i have the same expierince Joolz. After 3 minutes posting my message the 12504 H left. Maybe a test. We will see what happen the next days.:)

I haven’t had a good look at 16E for a long time. New to me. 3 x Radio stations hiding in between a small gap 12686.9H 12587.4H and 12688.1H all SR405 3/5 Dutch / Flemish music stations. (QMusic/ Joe??) - Signal with heavy rain falling

Eutelsat 16A @ 16° E

12686.73 H, 405, 3/5
12687.23 H, 405, 3/5
12687.74 H, 405, 3/5

It has been known for many years that Radio Gdansk is on a mux with a low symbol rate—12689 V, 146, 3/4. It has a strong signal that can only be locked if the device can read such a parameter.
It’s worth reminding those who are searching for a valuable “catch” with their antenna.

Of course, they don't have to be DVB, they could be something else (the SRs are just a guide based on bandwidth)

Hello Arno,
I was not at home, but when I checked today, I was not able to receive Sky Radio. Are some changes again ?

Hello Victor,
Sky Radio and Radio 10 are still receiving their program via DVB-S2, 10.972,1 GHz, Horizontal Polarisation, Symbolrate 376, FEC 3/5
