Well, the fact that the 'elevation' motor has a bend of 30 degrees in its axis in this case doesn't make this setup really easy....

Got it. I've seem pics of something like that when I looked for images of Dark Motors. Very interesting.

You could fit a second elevation motor in parallel to cancel out the offset.

You could fit a second elevation motor in parallel to cancel out the offset.
And then it would seem to get "even more complicated" - apart from the extra loads and mis-setting issues with all the various mechanical interfaces.

You could just unbolt the 30 degree offset mount and bolt on a straight one, most motors (Apart from the HH100/120) you can remove it.

I doubt the elevation motor can lift the setup wenn a Triax 110 dish is in front .
Also the amps of that motor will raise too high for the used receiver .

Current should be fine if you use one motor at a time, but can see what you are saying about the load on the motor lifting it straight up, it's not geared to do so.

OpenBox X5 on a 1 meter motorized dish.
And now a 10 foot "C" band dish.

Custom built PC

Yaesu has a satellite rotor, it can do 360 degrees AZ by 90 degrees EL, with the optional computer interface and software you can track a moving satellite (like a HAM Oscar) very effectively.

It does cost a bit but it works, with a proper counterpoise you could swing a very large satellite dish.

Nice solution, Hope it's better than their radios, personally having spent £3000 on Yaesu stuff, I'd never buy anything from them again.
Sold the lot in the end :)

My Ft-101E cost me about £140 all in, came with the 12v inverter as well, which is nice.

That's a proper Yaesu though, when they were originally Yaesu Musen.
Does yours still have the protective film on the front?
