Perhaps we should start an " Off Topic Chatter 1978 " to keep some out
In which case you should be able to help @sonnetpete out with post 940. Check your old reel to reel cans!
You had money, unused Leeches, rich kid! It's the groats you really need to look out for. Often found lurking in a discarded codpiece.
And don't forget the unused course of Leeches in a leather pouch at the back of the Bathroom cabinet.
Well done!Crikey, she'd been long gone by the time that was taken...However, here's a picture of the Rovers Return triumvirate...Minnie Caldwell, Ena Sharples and the one I couldn't remember, Martha Longhurst.

Blimey! Over 10s rise , must have allowed you to rent the Murphy 21" super slimBlue of course, she was very obviously a member of a UN Peace keeping force..
BTW. £3 9s 9d was my weekly wage at 16. When I turned 17 it shot up to £4 1s 6d...
Dunno, I quit 11 years ago after having smoked a pack a day for 20.Attempting to play golf again tomorrow, as I like hand rolling tobacco, rather than ready made cigs, I decided to make some up tonight and put in my tin for tomorrow.
Figured one for each hole, and one for each ball I am bound to lose.
Have made 27 cigs, should be enough ?
( Playing 9 holes on an all par 3 course! )
Beginning a TV service engineer apprenticeship in the mid 1960's, I came across many of these. We used to 'refurb' them and they were marketed as rental TV's for OAP's (at something like 5/- a week). I can vouch for the fact the larger ones were heavy, though mainly for this particular rental market we sold 17" screens.
This was obviously before decimalisation and my first pay packet was £3 9s 9d.....
