Ive been down in the North Pennines for the weekend. It was positively evil up on the moors this morning - the wind was blowing so hard I almost got blown off my feet, and the Alston - Middleton in Teesdale road was almost impassable on the top of the moor due to drifting snow and a half wit who had got stuck in some deep stuff.

I got through though :D

Aye - we have been visiting that area for over 20 years now. I prefer it in the summer though when the flowers are out rather than when snow is being whipped up in a gale force wind

:D

Verrry windy this morning. My Fibo 90 is flapping about like a flag. Nearly fell over on its front, though it couldn't quite lift 120kg worth of kerb stones holding it down.

Was surprised to see our window cleaner out and about this morning; looking very fetching in his heavy coat and bobble hat, but just saw him putting his ladders back on his car so guess he's drawn stumps for today.

Wife had to work from home Wednesday as we were snowed in..... 8.0am no snow 8.10am hailstone 8.20am heavy snow, the place was paralysed until 11.00am. It took until lunchtime for the tarmac laying machine to get up the hill to it's destination having been abandoned at the bottom of the hill at 8.30am along with a steamroller, all snow and slush gone by the time the sun came out at 2pm
