Hi friends ..
Been rescanning some birds with the F15..
..and have noticed some changes to the Congo-Kinshasa mux
4052R

Symbol rate has increased to 10150
fec is still 3/4

The SR increase is to accomodate the addition of another channel plus a testcard/info channel..

Hi Pride ..
certainly not a weak signal at my location..but it is the weakest of the 3 txpdrs
The F15 reports - 4052 R signal level @ 79% - 8.0 > 8.5db

3971R - 75% - 9.8db

4078R - 76% - 9.6db

I can get these numbers up a fraction if I peak the elevation to pinpoint accuracy ...

10db and above..

For starters you will need at least a 2m diameter dish and a c-band lnb. Possibly MUCH bigger.

If you dont have these then give up now.

It still might be too small all the way up there. The only way to know is suck it and see. Is the LNB mounted in the LNB holder of the dish, or is it offset? The satellite is circular polarised so you will need the delay plate inserted in the mouth of the LNB. If the Technomate doesn't support C-band settings try these instead:
10929 V 2741 3/4,
10848 V 10148 5/6.

Ginostar have you had any success with your C-band kit on any other satellites yet?

For Rascom, VS and and Nelson_b both get it using 1.8m dishes but they are further south in the UK. And down here I get it fine on a 1.5m using an offset LNB.

Huevos, still getting the same error message, I can get KU Band sat without problem at all, just want to watch channels from rascom, do you have any more suggestions? cheers

Tell us more about your kit. Is the 1.5m dish used for C-band and Ku, or just C-band? Is it motorised? How do you know it is aligned? Is the C-band LNB central? Can you post some photos, it would make it easier to help you. Also what is the problem with the Technomate?

if you find the l.n.b. setup menu and select --- 5150 ( Standard) then it will see your l.n.b. and let you input c band transponder numbers -- and just select polarity H or V for L or R

n_b.

Well, i usually use this dish with my KU band lnb, just bought a C band one which i'm trying to set up. the dish itself is not motorised, the aligment is done with a sat finder (I also use dishpointer.com ). The TM5400 does not allow me to input any c band Tp frequencies. about ku band i meant satellite such as astra and others. i will be able to post some photos in the morning. cheers

I don't know the receiver so try what Nelson suggests above for C-band settings. If you don't have any luck with that use the parameters I posted above. I know they are Ku numbers but used with a C-band LNB they are correct for Rascom.

All i can see on the LNB settings are
LNB type: Universal, OCS, Single.
LNB power: On,13v,18v,OFF
LNB Frequency: depends on which transpond you choose

cheers
