Yes, the weather in Murcia looked far too hot so we decided to stay at home.

We are currently enduring the mother and father of all hailstorms.

No sinshine here today....or the opportunity of experiencing it either.....the sun has also been absent. Yesterday, it was clear blue skies and 24°...today overcast, rain off and on, 10° and I've caved in and lit the log burner.......

We were supposed to have frost here last night, but there was none and today is by no means as chilly as expected. Bit breezy and some decent prolonged rain, though - the latter very welcome indeed.

We did have our first "surfeit of frogs" earlier in the week (No Pete, not that sort .........................) >> Loads and loads of them squished all along the lane.

Had they fallen from the skies by any chance? the locusts arrived last month in the Middle East, the red ones are a delicacy

No idea of the mechanism, but two or three times from early Spring to late Summer we get thousands of them all trying to commit Harry Carpenter in t'road! When we go out walking , there is literally one every couple of meters - and always right in the middle. It's quite bizarre.

Don't see live ones much during the day, so I suppose they come out at night and get mesmerised by vehicle lights.

When the sun is out its absolutely glorious. Then when it goes behind a cloud theres a quick scramble to put the jumper back on.

However Ive put my new Triax 1.1m dish together this morning - dropping no end of bolts in the process so its just as well the grass is still short.

Hopefully tomorrow I might get round to installing a mount for it.

Don't forget to fit the bracket brace ................ I've seen a couple of Threads here where people have been wondering:

a. Why their TD110 twists in the wind

and

b. What the stout bit of metal with no obvious purpose is for

It was nice between the clouds today, especially as we were out on't allotment (just acquired, has been abandoned for a long time!!), the hard snow (too soft to be hail) was annoying though...
