Summer heatwave (!) & BBQ weather chat 2013

17 deg C this afternoon, so I spent time sitting on the Garden Bench absorbing the sounds of early Summer.



Strimmers.

Mowers.

Builders.

Friday evening at the start of the bank holiday weekend - and its raining

A predictable enough starting gun - 'twas ever thus!

13C today, but it feels quite chilly owing to a stiff breeze and full cloud cover,

Rain here first thing, but the remainder of the weekend looks good, so we'll probably go to the coast tomorrow.

Hazy sun here this morning, capital - just the morning to have a go at seeing what I can get on the Triax.

It's fine here too. Some sun but little wind. I feel a need to tweak the motorised dish which I'm going to do in a minute......and have some old tree stumps I'd like to remove from the edge of the lawn.......need to conduct a search of the tool shed for those sticks of dynamite....

Gloomy here, due to brighten pm (Allegedly!).

Tomorrow and Monday look like scorchers, so will be off deep oop t'Moors for Walk/Picnic.

No unpleasant bending.

We just had the most almighty thunderclap,rain for 5 mins and now sun.

Drove to Finmere car boot (near Silverstone) about that time yesterday in nice sunshine to find, when we got there, they'd just had a bit of a deluge and the remaining sodden booters packing up.

Hopefully today will be a bit more Springlike.

In particular, I hope we've seen the last of the March-like stiff breezes that have seemingly been around for weeks.

Definitely been a warm day today, got some work done at the allotment (and a load of nettle stings on my skin), just basically tidying stuff up to get it ready to pland some spuds, aswell as securing collapsing fences and whatnot...

Probably will do more tomorrow, seeing as it too looks to be a potentially warm day...

Reasonably warm up at OH's allotment this afternoon, and we got the spuds planted. Dull & overcast with a few spots of rain though.

This is the task that stopped play with the new Triax - for some reason OH thinks planting spuds is far more important than dxing Intelsat 10......

Speaking of football, tonight there is a programme on The Singing Shortbread Tin channel following Glasgow City FC. The ladies team. Why watch odd overpaid men halfheartedly kick a ball around when you can watch foxy ladies doing it?
