I shall have another go for 30.5E at some point.
There's naff all on there. Strongest transponder by far is 12656 V 1660 5/6 S2 8PSK, but you are probably going to have bleed-over from 28E.

Ah but it doesnt matter if theres bugger all of real interest on there - its the challenge of getting something, or anything off that bird.

I love just seeing what I can get on my kit which is why everything is cross patched and mis wired in all sorts of weird and wonderful ways with lnbs strapped to others with bits of metal or zip ties..

I really dont care if the 16E lnb gets dislodged if a bird perches on that dish - its only a 5 minute job to put it back on again

Sorry chum, but it's bootifuel here and we are off for a walk and a picnic up between Hawnby and Bilsdale (where, apparently, there is a TV Mast wot we cannot get from our village despite it only being six miles away as the fly crows)
Go on, rub it in. O-no

(Waving around a 10 element (straight element (or a grid for widest beamwidth)) with a variable max 27dB masthead amp should bring in a strong reflection from somewhere, Bilsdale is powerful enough at only 6 miles! Take advantage of digital error correction. Note an X beam will reject too many reflections to be useful.)

Just got back from a fab walk, where the sun shone throughout (and still does!), we've got mildly sunburnt (especially on me 'ed!!), saw one other person and had a super picnic.

Heard our first Cuckoo of the year, saw loads of Curlew, Lapwing and Grouse plus an unexpected bonus was a surfeit of Wheatear. Very attractive little bird.

Also had panoramic views of our local "stealth transmitter" (Bilsdale, as referred to earlier): Very prominent around here >>>> APART from where we actually live.

Pic might follow.

We did actually see the sun today. For all of 5 minutes around half 3. Apart from that as usual the Scottish weather sucks on BH's

Dull overcast, & spots of rain :(

It has got otter and otter since we got back from oop t'Moors.

Currently 20 deg C and my nose is bright red.

That might, in part, be due to the Burton Bridge Bitter I am drinking from the Homebrew Pressure Barrel.

Wonderful!

:-bighappy

You can see the brand new DTT transmitters just under the main shroud at the top.

I can see it is an unspoilt habitat.

We were discussing over dinner a new wildlife series due on BBC 1 Scotland tonight called Hebrides Islands on the Edge. It reminded me that SWMBO called to me a few days ago that there was a rare siberian yellow chested thing in the garden. Having hauled in my expectations after a few seconds of wondering, I discovered there was a siskin in the garden. :-rofl2 I tried to explain there was no hope some tiny bird would suddenly decide to fly a few thousands miles to here on a whim but soon realized I was, as usual, talking to myself. :-per

It was a lovely sunny day round these parts, spent part of the day up at the allotment, staring at Pontop Pike while resting between digging the grave, I mean the potato patch, it was clear enough that I could see the guy wires that keep the pike up (that and having new glasses helps!!), was going to take a photo, but I got distracted by the rats who decided to invade our territory, until I threw an axe at them.... :-Axechase

Today's looking pretty sunny too, probably the last sun we'll see this year cos tomorrow it set to get cold again and start raining, so, best make the most of it... :D

I was looking forward to going through my list of stuff to get while sitting in the sun this evening. I always make a big list and go through it working out what I can reuse from the pile of bits and so save a much money as possible. When I got home I discovered my garden chair was covered in bird shat. :-lang

That bird would be producing more fertilizer if I got my hands on it.

Don't worry, 2CV, the drizzle turned to steady rain here for about an hour then it stopped and the sun is coming out now.

We got a sudden and heavy deluge of rain about an hour and a half ago, and the sun just recently popped out, still feels cold out there though despite the sunshine...
