hi Llew I had my SL3 horizontal which picked up the horse race and while it was horizontal tried newsnet but no luck I wonder if it should have been vertical.

SL3 arrived at last via Yodel (!)

The driver said her van had a breakdown yesterday, so I assume it was transferred to another van today.

Just need now to fashion a bracket of some sort. Do I need to position the LNB vertically with the RH KA LNB at the focus, with the modded converter in line to receive the Newsnet frequencies?

The Left or right lnb will do Llew ..
Left 22khz on ..right lnb 22khz off ...
Physical orienetation _may_ play a part but as long as the lnbs are receiving Circular ..then the benefit of rotation may be limited.
Certainly all three in a line should on the horizontal axis be more beneficial for vertical reception ...in theory that is.
You may well end of modding one of the ports for True linear reception ..and the orientation of the SL3 _will_then be more relevant.

Did a quick check on the current consumption of these beasties with the Promax, just the one port connected -

LNB 215mA

SUP-2400 50mA, 100mA modded

LNB with SUP-2400 in line 265mA, with modded SUP-2400 315mA (obviously, but checking anyway).

Know little about Diseqc motors, is an LNB out of circuit when running a motor?

I doubt it buddy ...
I suspect you'd have to add the current drawn by the motor as well ...
either that or pop a switch between diseqc motor and lnb thus disconnecting it for the duration of the motors movement.
I knew it drew a fair whack ..but hadn't considered the motor current as mine doesn't use a diseqc ..

it could be a problem.
Not sure how much current diseqc motors draw ..
Perhaps you could try just the motor first ?
150ma rings a bell ..but not absolutely sure.

No clouds here atm ..and the newsroom feed is giving 99% fluid motion on the TBS 6925 with VLC ..using the modded SL3.

After some fun and games, I've made a bracket for the TD88. Although it's not perfectly aligned, I'm focussed on the right-hand KA feed, and managed to find Teleippica.

But... I can only find the feed using the Promax (LO 20250) as Crazyscan doesn't find it at all - I'm using V.1.0.1.88 which I believe you are too, and put in the hex codes to switch the SUP on/off, but it doesn't show anything sensible. Also, I can't input a LO of 20250 in this version, misses out the final zero. Maybe wrong Streamreader? I'm using V.1.2.0.1202, which I think is the latest version.
Anyway, here's the Promax scan -

Best thing I can do is perhaps to rar up the entire 10188 directory as is ..and email it to you ..
PM me a current address to send it to..

Ok zipped it up ..
also contains a .crs file selectable from the list (SL3 Ka Band A Full ) try selecting this ..then scan

The directory is called crazyscan SP ..
Use as is first without changes ..
If it works you might try substitution one file at a time.

OK,, put the LNB back and tried the first file. Wouldn't stream to Coolstuf/TSReader until I changed it in Crazyscan.ini to point to where I have it - Program Files (x86) - you have in just Program Files.

Ok ..you have the version I sent running ..but the wrong scale showing on the image you uploaded ..
Does it run using SL3 full ka A .cri
Thats the inverted scale you need ...not 19200 to 20200
