Finally my front garden dried out sufficiently enough to mow it, if we have another few days, of this, then hopefully the back will dry out, almost all the surface water has gone, which has been there since last september, but it'll take a lot to dry out all the clay.

Sounds like you got lucky there Wod.

I sure did, the lucky thing was further up the road in the direction I had come from was some road works so the traffic had slowed down anyway as I approached the crossroads junction.

I wasn't riding a road bike but a mountain bike i had converted so I didn't get mangled in the frame.

It's been a very nice day, got some bushes trimmed back even though I was aching a bit from Thursdays accident.

I have got distracted though and spend last couple of hours watching fa cup final and magic weekend rugby league.

At last the local mountain pass opened today 1200



Photo taken 3 days ago, County roads 337 and 987 between Suleskard and Brokke East Agder Norway opened on Friday.

Time saved by driving this route from home to Stavanger 1 hour

I got completely soaked in a huge thunderstorm on Thursday afternoon. Hail the size of small marbles do not help when travelling on a motorcycle. Clothing is still drying out in the hallway.

Raining when I awoke ..and Currently..well ..it's raining.
Outlook for the rest of the day ..
errr rain..
2 day forecast predicts ..
Rain all day Sunday ...with overcast and showers Monday..
My optimism has a shelf life ..and close to expiration date.

Seems every bank holiday we have rain !!!!!!!
I had a lot of plans, this weekend, but everything depended on some dry, sunny weather, so no landscaping, getting rid of a lot of clay, or removing rust, and re-painting the satellite mount, and fixings, or trying a different motor.
Hopefully we'll get a spel of reasonable weather in June, July, or August.
Who dares start the optimistic Summer thread?

Spring has been mostly a washout, at least here, but my back garden hasn't fully dried, since last September, when it seemed to start raining.
I do remember, last Summer, the clay did dry out, so much so that you could see cracks !!!!!! I need some similar, hot, dry, weather, for a few consecutive weeks, this Summer.
I blame all these people that get their barbeques out as soon as they see any sign of the sun, along with the patio furniture, tempting fate !!!!!!!!!
