After reading all this thread and trying all those tricks myself I got to following conclusion:
Altdvb kicks the hell out of progdvb's but when it comes to hdtv.

Take a look. This is Astra HD channel.



78% was the max the cpu was using. No stops, no pixelation, only great image and sound. Give it a go

I'm still struggling with this ProgdvbAVC thingy...
I followed the instructions but when i select ElecardAVC in the 'audio and video' settings i get the following error message-

"Error! Filter not founded!
Mainconcept_AVC/H264_Video_Decoder"

Any thoughts anyone?

Did you register the filters and they are in the correct folders ? i.e. Filters FilterGraphs
