Yeah it's reassuring to know that we still have a line of communication. You only realise how much you miss something when it goes!
Best wishes to all those involved in these attacks

Dave

Just get back from Turkey, with another week spare and the shit hits the fan.

Think I know why Alsat, Toes, and Satdudez have been attacked as they are the sites that "Darkmans Patch" for Technomate receivers can be downloaded from.

There are other sites that provide keys but they have not been touched.

hi marts,
nice to see you over here m8, it was me that chucked the thread up as a stickie at dudes, (it was closed when i did) i had to merge a couple of threads as well cos the members were not looking before they posted.
but i think the reason it was closed was the amount of wheres it gone posts, but i put it up as a stickie so it could be seen and so that when any mod got real info they could post it, which i think echelon did.

so i hold my hands up but i did it out of good intentions :)
best regards
phil

Must be one hell of a concerted effort to take out so many sites or lots of people have poor security on their PC's which are then being used to mount the attack. :(

Anyone fancy watching some TV for a change

The DEN is back, but please don't all hit it at once otherwise we will all be responsible for causing another DOS ;)

I found this forum last night, and discovered it was where all the fellow satdudez people hang out. Hopefully dudez will be back sometime.

This seems to happen every year, so maybe it's just an excuse to delete all the old posts and start again to free up some server space? There will be a lot of lost information, but anyway, that is just my conspiracy theory. :-SBD

Sadly thats all too true. There are reports of "attack farms" of violated home computers available for hire for suitable fees.
