Sadly it was no more than a Meeting in an Office!

The vomit stains are still visible on the pavements below if the light is right :D
Speaking of which - the halls I lived in during my first year at university were right next to it. The BT Tower provided a very useful navigational aid when walking home late at night after the tubes had stopped running...

5k, I think.
Enough, anyway - especially if you weed out carp, Radio etc.
Ah - this is a problem I have with my Openbox S10. It's limited to 5000 channels, but once I have radio channels scanned in I can find no way of deleting them. Consequently I am currently limited to 3500 or so TV channels (which isn't really a problem because I've moved the motorized dish and most of the LNBs of the T-90 onto the Solo2). Another limitation with the Openbox is that eventually it runs out of TP slots when blindscanning (although I really had to push it to manage this, doubling up 16 or sats on the T-90 with sats on the motorized dish so that I'd have two versions of each sat in the list - one motorized, one not)).

I might be able to help you here: In Channel Edit, there is no way to toggle between TV and Radio, but if you actually select a Satellite List that you know has Radio scanned in and toggle the TV/Radio button on the Telecommander first, then when you then go to Channel Edit, lo it has the relevant Radio Channels showing and you can then use the Group button to show any other (or All) Radio list.

I found this tricky until I twigged - it isn't immediately obvious.

And I guess Skybox/Openbox will work much the same way.

Edit: Just read that back and it's not as clear as I'd like (Got a stinking cold): Just find a Radio Station in normal operation before you engage Channel Edit!

Thanks Tivù - have already tried all manner of combinations and exotic swearing but I don't think I've tried as you suggest. Will give it a crack tonight :)

Afternoon guys! It seems my Medion box is limited to what it can do motorised. It has a pre-programmed list you can select your sats from, but you cannot tell the box to go to a certain position. Over 2 years ago I got a Triax 80cm dish (now motorised) and a TM1000D box from Freecycle so I'm thinking of having a fool around with that box until my new one arrives. Could be interesting!

Seeeee ...the hooks are well and truely in your flesh now ..
Won't be long before you are craving Bigger and better ..for those more exotic fringe channels.
lol

To remind me of what I truely desire and constantly lust after ...I have a trip to see Stella (The Lovell) at Jodrell Bank this Sunday ..
So If you're also there and see a guy being arrested for trying to have s_x with it ..
Ahem ...that'll be me..

only joking btw ...I'll contain myself and keep it in my pants.
;)

But surely you can "Add Satellite", part of which is entering a custom position? The Medion is a bog-standard DVB S Generic box, so it's just a matter off digging into the Menus.

Most (All?) boxes come with a pre-programmed bunch of Satellites (which are always out of date!) and require much Editing.

Which particular position that isn't pre-installed are you after?

I was after 21.5e. But, after using my OLD Technomate I found I could easily go to a certain position. BTW, I found out I can go from 57e to 50w. It may be the limit screws are set but I can't do anything about that now so I'm happy with what I can get. And the new box will store even more positions :). I tried all sorts, but hey, what are you going to do?

Sounds like you've got a pretty respectable result there - A new box and the job's a good 'un!

Why aye, man! LOL! I'm having a great time just finding out what is there. As it scans the satellite I'm just in amazement what it finds. So, the Medion box has 3,200 channels and the old Technomate has 4000. Wonder what I can store with 10,000 channels???

Let's see:

Teleshopping 1200
Religion 800
Tarot 250
Promos 350
Tests 100

That brings the capacity down a fair bit :D
