Hi, I will be building my summer house in the next coming weeks/days, i've ordered the wood for the frame work and it will be delivered tomorrow,

My first thoughts of a plan is something like in the pictures below with a flat roof not apex, the 1.8 dish will just sit above it and piped into the summer house as well as the living room, the brick built shed will be turned in to a mini bar, at the front of the SH by the side of the greenhouse will be a seating area,

I am looking forward to getting stuck into this, but I need to source some cheap windows from eBay that might slow me down.

Just thinking, does things like summer houses make any difference to the house price?

i've ordered the wood for the frame work and it will be delivered tomorrow,

The frame works turned up :) 60 lengths, that should keep me busy for a couple of days,

The bottom of the construction will be done in steel, with the wood framework fixed to it, i already know where to get this at a cheap price, i will pick it up later today/tomorrow :).

Hi, I've just managed to get two windows, i already have one, i might only use the glass from them and make my own frames from wood, i am unsure at the moment, just a door to sort now,

There is nothing really stopping me from making a start now, i can just leave a big gap where i am going to fit the door and put it to suit when i grab another bargain :).

Hi, ive spent most of the day fetching materials to make a start, I have decided to put an apex roof on it, I think it will look lots better and a good excuse to put the dish a little higher, it took me a while to decide where to start and what way I was going to do it, but I think I have it clear in my head now,

At the end of the day after tea i made a start :), once the steel work is all welded up and concreted in the frame work shouldn't take that long,

A few pictures of the work ive done this evening :).

Hi, I got a little more done this afternoon, one of our members called over parkiepie420 nice to meet him nice guy, after a good chat, (we probably could have talked all day but his missus was waiting for him in the car)

After he left I got back on with things and at the end of the day i've got the main part of the steel work welded and concreted in, hopefully i will get some wood work done tomorrow :).

Many thanks LP, i am fed up of rolling it in and out of the shed, at one point today the wind got up and i had to lay it on the lawn lol,

The SH is another reason why i haven't installed it as i have been unsure of the final height of the roof, once i get the SH water tight i might move back to the install ???:):D

Hi, due to the weather being rubbish I have had a break today, its given me time to get a image in mind of the finished project, I am still looking for doors and might have a chance of one tomorrow,

The finished project will now look something like this :).

I am still looking for doors and might have a chance of one tomorrow,

Hi, I managed to get the door, just one more to locate now, I had to cut it down to get it in the car:eek:, but I will still be using the side panel I will be make my own frame for it:),

This door and side panel will be going in the gap in the picture below, I had to pay as much as £20 for this :D.

I just need a full glass one now for the main part :).

Hi, not to much to report from yesterday, I bought the door as mentioned above, after tea I welded some angle iron to the ground post and rested them onto the concrete to stop any down movement, a bit OTT but best save than sorry:),

I also gave the steel work a coat of paint for protection, it should be safe as houses now :), things should be looking different at the end of today, on to some wood work now :), this is how it looks atm.

Fist piece of wood jigsaw fitted, ive been running around trying to locate some metal inox self tapping screws, I managed to get some from the fourth shop :). I wish I would have just used nuts and bolts wasting all that time, any how I have some now,

Once the longer run is at this stage it wont take long to get these two sides up to the eaves. cup of tea time:).

Hi all, i managed to nearly get the front finished, i am getting an feeling of the size of it now, it looked small until the front went up, BTW outside measurements are 15ft x 9 + the brick built shed, hopefully nothing will slow me down tomorrow apart from the heat , end of work pictures today :) just the top section to fit in and finish making the weather board for the window:).
