1.8m fibreglass dish Eb*y: 251963072589
A 1.8m fibreglass offset dish. And not a CM/Prodelin/NSC variant. Unusual....
But an offset C-band dish? Very unusual.
(Was there ever any commercial C-band stuff in the UK that could warrant selling such a dish in the UK?)

If I didn't know better (as in "almost all offset reflectors are not round but ovaloid'ish to allow for sensible feedhorn designs"), I would have stated that the reflector is in fact circular in shape.
Look esp. at the picture of the back of the dish... isn't that a typical prime focus type design?
Also consider the LNB holder - cleraly a PF type LNB holder that has been pressed into service as an offset one.
Anyone know what sort make of dish this is?

Thank you st1.
sorry mate, couldn't resist
But it IS actually an unusual design.
I am sure we should, as a community, buy it, and ship it to Belgium, so that RimanTSS could include that in his 1.2 metre survey (which I am equally sure is about to commence any day now...)
B-)

There is one 1,8m PFA in my neighborhood. Not really interested, even it is only 40 EUR. Polar-mount, Twin LNB, stand and, of course mirror itself.

Channel Master 120 with polar mount & wall mount in Barnsley.
Original CM dish - PM looks a bit rusty, but not too bad...

Another "unhappy" user of Toroidal dish, this time T55. Selling his dish for famous reason- dish did not perform good. But how could it perform if subreflector is upside-down?! ScreenHunter_323 May. 26 20.59.jpg

Can confirm its a Unicorn dish!

I can also confirm that it is a Unicorn dish and it is fitted with the adapter bracket that mounts it directly onto the Jaeger 1224. The dimension of the dish is 1.25m of reflector surface, the total width is 1.28m.

The Jaeger 1224 is in very good condition, almost brand new and it came with quite a few spares such as 2 extra top plates (the declination plates), 1 extra bottom plate, extra top cover with the angle scale on, extra pole mount bracket with U bolts and other spare miscellaneous Jaeger 1224 bolts and fittings.

The seller has the Gregorian spares for sale in the classified section of this forum. I can highly recommend him, it was a pleasure to do business with him for the Jaeger 1224 and the Unicorn dish.

I have seen this type of motor either on the auction site before of a picture on this forum. Anyone recognise the make/model, it looks quite old?

It's one of those PF H2H motors.
Don't remember the exact name, but @Trust1 and @RimaNTSS knows these engines well.
Could be worth salvaging, the motors of trust1 coudl do a 180 cm dish easily.

Interesting - wonder if it can move a 1.8m Channel Master?

Cheap 1.2m Channel Master with polar mount - 191593185992

A brand new 1m CM dish - with Az/El and wall/ground mount. This one needs to be mated with a feedhorn, though, as that LNB holder won't take normal LNBs. Or a new holder...

1.2m metal Channel Master? - 201364825509

Nottingham is about half hour drive for me, it might be able to move the 1.8, but I wont be rushing to buy it, I would not trust it on such a dish, but that's just over cautious me I guess.
