That actually sound like one heck of a bargain.
Yes... plus £79 to hire a van to bring it over. Thankfully, it's less than an hour away from me. Picking it up Friday.

Re arms: I am in the process of making new arms for my reflector, I've been experimenting to find the easiest way (low cost), and I hope to have a protorype in a week or two.
I draw on the benefit of having a fully working and mounted CM180, so I know exactly where in 3D the LNB should be, makes is a lot easier to cut materials to resonable adequate lengths. I hope to share, if not the arms, then at least the recipe for making them.
Yep, a simple design, which would allow the addition of off-centre LNBs would be good too. I am in no particular rush as I won't be installing it until we move (hopefully this year) but I do want it to be perfect and as close to the original as possible.

In the meantime, I can make a start on modifying my polar mount to take the dish. But will open a separate thread on that.

Congrats CJ! Why did you need another dish?! Just kidding. Good catch. I would advice to go for feedarms made of INOX (not so much more expensive, but will look nicer)

Yeah I thought about it but I wouldn't trust them to bring the dish in one piece. Probably ok for furniture but not something like this.

Spoke to the seller this evening and these are ex telenor stock, thus maybe for signal relay purpose not satellite reception.

Well, a metal parabolic dish is a metal parabolic dish.
Should reflect most microwaves.
There's a substantial mount in the background somewhere.
Skomedal: Can you put up something like this, or do you have local regulations (and much worse: Iffy neighbours?)
Should do 28.2 nicely, I would speculate.

No restrictions as far as i can see, as my house is in a forest, local rural community 5 households spread over 3 km and nearest village 41km.

But think that size dish would be overkill:D

What's the 1.8m? The seller says it's not motorised but it's clearly sat on top of a polar mount.

1.3m looks like fibreglass - maybe one of Prodelin incarnations?
