I agree with Brian, i have never used a meter, i just use a set top box, and dish pointer, first thing first you have a lot of steel there is the main pole level both ways ? this is a must no cutting corners here,

Is you motor at 0 degree if not send it to 0. you will still get 0.8 W with the motor at 0 to start with, look where your dish should be pointing and find a land mark, look under the dish and line the lnb arm up with the land mark input the TP that Brian mentioned into the box and leave the box on that TP with the signal strength showing then move the dish slightly left then right until you see movement on the signal meter on your box.

Near as dam it you lnb needs to be pointing in this direction to start with all the above in place.

Hi martin yes motor is set at 0 I don't even have to move the dish from where its pointing straight ahead I get 99%

I´m not an expert on the Technomate boxes, but shouldn´t the LNB frequency be showing something other than 00.000?

You need the other one to move the Q, set your box with this TP so you can see it like this, then move the dish until the bottom one moves. this is a different box to yours but you can still set it like this.

apologies my computer took a fit and wouldn't type had to reboot. I,m not an expert lol that's why I,m having loads of trouble with it. sorry forgot to add I did at one point get the quality bar to over 50%

Don't move the dish with the motor you need to move the dish and the motor round the pole.

I did martin but when the wife told me a had a good signal and quality bar I tighten the bolts on the motor think I over done it a bit. do there's setting look better . yes the pole is level or was the last time I checked

That's were your going wrong , if your wife is like mine your wasting your time , what ive done in the past is log into usteam and live stream my tv screen via the camera on laptop then login on the smart phone while at the dish,

Other way is to put the tv were you can see it good luck you have all the info it just takes time and patience

I am being serious with my wife, make sure you can see the tv yourself,

Also make sure these two line up, middle of the motor stub with the centre of the dish don't move this position once set just move the dish and motor all in one

Lock it all and then move it to an East satellite and just tweak the up and down for the best signal. I found it did not need altering.

Motor and dish should be locked up like I've said only thing that should be slightly loose is the bracket from the motor onto the pole

finally got the dish up all I need to do now is get it working could still do with going up a little bit more though

Nice.. but why is it so high off the top of the roof? Doesn't look like there are any obstructions there... The satellites are up in the sky, not straight ahead where the dish is looking.

it was suggested to try and get the bottom of dish in line with top of roof
