My Satellite Setup
1.2M Channel Master, 1224 motor, VU+ Duo 2
My Location
North West
Looks like your dish is pointing at 9E, judging by the channels:
Code:
http://en.kingofsat.net/find.php?question=OTE&Submit=Zap

try some of the other FTA channels, on 9E:
Code:
http://www.lyngsat.com/Eutelsat-9A-and-Ka-Sat-9A.html

I´m not an expert on the Technomate boxes, but shouldn´t the LNB frequency be showing something other than 00.000?
Yes. he is in satellite set up and needs to go into motorised setting where it shows the transponder and strengths.

Yes looks like 9E, but frequencies and symbol rates don´t tie up, so think something wrong with the box settings ( unless like the VU+ solo SE I have it is giving false info when in the channel )

Well done:-applause:), now put a pencil mark on the pole and motor bracket so you know how to get back to 9E in case you get lost, then you need to move the dish and motor round the pole slightly W not much just a bit at a time until you lock 1W.

What I meant was that in the second pic file in posts 101 ( top page 6 ) It shows the lnb as universal, but no frequency range set, or is this normal for this box on that page?

BBC World on Thor is 10778 H 24500. Strength 72%.
Go into motorised set up. Choose Thor and then 10778 H 24500. If its not there go into

He needs to scroll across to choose the frequency.

OK, lets start at the very beginning! do ray me!
No!, not that one.
DO NOT ADJUST THE DISH TO MOTOR MOUNT, for now. Mark the position of the dish as it is, so can return to 9E if all else fails. Loosen the motor mount bolts and rotate the whole assembly west. ( That´s to the right when behind the dish ) I know this sounds strange when you see Carol doing the weather on BBC in the morning and the West Country is to the left, that´s because it´s a north aspect picture, and your dish is looking south to the Clark Belt. Move the dish very slowly with the sat box looking for 12418V 28000, fec 7/8. When you find a good signal, stop and scan. You should find Al Jezeera, Sky News and a couple of others. If not, try again.
When you find A J adjust dish elevation to get max signal.
Report back then and we will advise further!

You would be better buying an imclometor, a sat finder will only do what the STB does at the end of the day, if you cant get it right your angles are out/something not level/both.

If its like the one I bought it was 2 degrees out, you need to start at the very beginning, pole level both ways, dish set on the motor bang central azimuth and elevation set correctly, you must have something set wrong, these need setting bang on near as dam it, if anyone of them is out you wont track the arc and no sat meter will help you.

When I said if the bottom of the dish to be level with the top of the roof, was when you was going to put it on the chimney, you have a lot of steel work there and could easy be out, I would take it all down and just use one pole, get it setup and see what you get, if your missing out at a later date put it higher if needed.

This is as accurate as your going to get without using a compass. you have all the information to get this set up correctly you just need to go through it step by step, and if you don't get it right start at step one again and again,

Step one is firstly making sure the pole is level (two ways) and your angles are set correctly.
