Thank you so much for your interest in the project! Now, I'll send you a PM for some screencaps I will need to make a detailed guide, hoping it will get stickied!

Start the how to thread off gs & we will sticky it - this is absolutely fascinating. Well done lads - this is an excellent development for our hobby.

@Vipersan might be interested in this in his ongoing quest to log everything going on every receiver :)

BTW does your Vu+ allow direct recording from the stream T2-MI channels? OSmini has a driver problem with that!
Erm... not quite. It records but during recording and playback of the said recording, the image is all blocky, like with bad signal.

Indeed ..I am interested ..
but will wait for a detailed Tutorial as to which receivers work ...and how to ..
I am well behind the curve on what I assume is IPTV ..or at least a variation ...and rarely if ever use enigma ..
I would be happy to dedicate a a box to this project ...once I get my head around it ..
..and assuming I have a suitable box ..

Is any of this doable using a sat card ..and windows pc ?

Any Enigma2 receiver will do as these TI2-MI tps on 40e (and 55e in Ku) are not multistream so can be received with any tuner.

Not IPTV either. Just a way of piping the decapsulated stream to decoder (a bit like PV on Enigma).

Yes, it's not IPTV, no internet involved at all, the icon you see on the infobar appears also on internal stream relays. So far it's the only way to go!
I hope I'll have the full tutorial ready by tomorrow.

Does anyone with E2 receiver have a lock of 55e TI2-MI transponders (@Analoguesat @Vipersan)? We could do with getting some scans on there so SatDreamGr team can put these channels on their feeds.

My Vu+ is out of use - the motherboard has sustained some sort of damage and it doesnt boot any longer..

In any case the 55E none European beams were ultra marginal here.

Good, send me a 30-60sec recording from the frequencies you receive and I'll check them out!

The only way to record a TS stream relay is to convert it to a non-TS relay. This is done in dreamboxedit by changing the TS to non TS and FTP back to the STB. However, the picture quality becomes slightly degraded and there is no EPG.

Could you explain? I don't get it.

When adding a new stream relay service instead of TS you select non-TS in dreamboxedit.

45cm dish pointed at 19.2E - that's it at present!

Hi,

I've scanned 40E and uploaded 4 TS files to here > Dropbox - TS 40E

If you could tell us how to get the right information required to edit lamedb and astra.conf from TS files (or astra-sm module?) then that would be welcome too :)

Thanks

Hi.

Sorry to bump this after all this time but would it be possible to post these TS files again?

I want to set up a C band dish to receive the multistreams on 40E and could really do with a sample of raw stream.

My plan is to use a Raspberry Pi with a DVBSky S960 to save the stream and then extract the DVB-T TS that I want from it later, offline, using Newspaperman's T2-MI extractor
Code:
https://github.com/newspaperman/t2-mi"]GitHub - newspaperman/t2-mi: This is a commandline T2-MI baseband frame extractor
. I never get a chance to watch anything live anyway!

So, being quite inexperienced at this (all I've ever done before is to hang a Freesat dish and point it at 19.2E), I would really like to test the software before investing in dish, C band LNB and custom arm.

Thanks in advance.

What information do you need from the 40E stream? Most of it has been extracted already in this thread...

Hi.

Thanks for replying.

No information really, just confidence I suppose. My experience is with electronics/software and that experience is that it never quite communicates as it's supposed to :)

I just wanted to reassure myself that it's going to work with my hardware/software combination was going to work before I installed all the kit (not a trivial operation in a London flat).

Looking at the date, I know it's unlikely that you still have the original files and I wouldn't ask you to go to the trouble of capturing new ones.

I just thought I'd ask in case you had them lying around still.

Thanks again.

OK, I understand. I don't have any sadly and my satellite dish is currently out of action. I did see other post this, so let me find some links and I'll post them here.

Excellent.

That's just what I needed, or I think it is, I haven't tried to unpack it yet :-)

Thank you so much.
