no i havent tried different cables to the box as its a good cable i used to use in my old home im just assuming that cable is fine there is not connections in the loft ... the dish has 4 cables coming out... 2 run directly down the wall to the living room and the other 2 run down the same wall...

oh sorry forgot the mention that..... its pixelated (green blocks and lines) its a humax Foxsat HD freesat receiver (just stranded one) the dish is located back of the house (south facing) about 1-2ft below the gutter (dish cant be moved)...its a brand new house and when they were built...

hi all since moving in to my new home i have a interference on my Freesat box. basically i trying the norm (moving my DECT phone away) renewing cables etc etc and nothing working. the only thing different from my previous home is the new home has wall mounted sockets (2x male out the wall)...

no nothing changed in the house hold (other than the channels lol) i thought maybe the dish was offset a tad but when i move the signal just decreases on the good channels :(

hi there guys n gals since my last fault (witch was a coax problem, now replaced and fixed) some of my channels are gone but the rest seem fine. i was thinking maybe ive knocked the dish while pluging the coax into the LNB? 90% of the channels are fine, but things like Flava, Tiny pop...

ive been hunting for hours now and ive not found one, i think i should invest in a meter or im doing something wrong :-(

well this is along the lines of what ive tried already (as i can see the tv from where the dish is) but maybe im just being a bit thick but my own STb only seems to let you have a signal meter on a specific sat Eg... i have to set it to Astra28east then roam the dish till it get signal. what...

i basikly ask this question because i have been playing about with a spare dish i have. the only problem i have is the only kind of signal indication i have is my STB and thats only looking for the strength of the signal of the freq / channel its on EG BBC 1 signal = 13% no matter if im fixed...

all fixed now, there was a kink in the wire witch must of just gave way yesterday. Replaced the coax all working 100% now. Thanks for all your replies and help :-worship

ok well after reading this i got out my multi meter and tried testing it to see if there was a circuit between 'inner and outer' and there is ... but ive checked the cable from STB to dish and all is still intact and ok, ? cutting a long story short... all is fine and how it was when i left it...
