Ive got a transparent dish, they look ok, its not the dish thats the problem its the ott scaffold pole and t&k brackets that i have on the front of my house. Easiest way to get a straight pole! Do cost a fair bit more though and arent on ebay.

sorted the problem out, hung out the window to move the dish by hand and it came back to life. It was a dodgy co-ax connection, doh! At least that was simple, strange how it only stopped working on fine adjustments, been fine for 2 weeks bar that.:-DOH!

Hi all, got a problem with my motor, it works fine going from sat to sat. But when i fine tune it, it fine tunes but then when i try to switch sats it just sits there, now its locked in position between sats and i cant watch nowt. What could be causing this, got a stab 90 and a technomate...

i assume you mean locked? no theyre not.

Yes theres plenty of football up there, but its all broadcast by sky! You could try pointing it at hotbird and seeing what you can pick up.

Thanks, well i think my hand maybe forced by the lack of availability of the raven dish. So transparent it is then.

Ive narrowed my choices of dish down to two, the 85cm transparent dish, or the raven 70cm epiwatchamacallit dish. Which do you reckon will provide the best signal? As i remember reading the raven performs very well and ive never really found a decisive answer over the transparent dishes...

thanks for that. so if it clears the roof at the highest point, then the rest of the arc should clear as the obstruction moves further away, correct? If so i think i could mount it there without it being to high.
