Yes, the CAM fits into the receiver's CI slot BUT it's not the card itself, the card fits into the CAM.
You can get an irdeto cam that will allow you to insert a valid card that uses that encription, that's legal.
Using a dragon or matrix CAM to open channels without the use of a valid card...
I used to do that using Norton Ghost. Haven't done it for a long time now... I think that program is still available.
I'm not sure of the implications of copying a drive with bad sectors to a new one... Guess it's worth giving it a try.
