Hi
I previously had a 1.1m Triax dish, with a TM motor. After a few years the motor went faulty so I got a new TM motor and a slightly lighter 1.1m mesh dish.
The problem I have is that I just can't get any signal from satellites. I have a basic meter with a signal level tone and moving the...
I had to add the satellite positions in so I started with 28e and added in and scanned channels ok. When I tried 13e I couldn't find the satellite and when I went back to 28e I had lost those channels as well.
I can confirm that the dish is actually moving. The settings are:-
Motor - DiSEqC 1.2
LNB - Universal
Power - Auto
Modulation - DVB-S QPSK
I can go from full east to full west and not pick up any signal quality.
it's too dark now to see if the dish has moved so I will haev to check in the...
Hi
I have a motorised dish with a Spiderbox STB. As my STB went faulty today I changed to another Spiderbox.
I started by adding in the channels from 28e and this all went fine. I went to do Hotbird next but couldn't pick up the satellite. I then went back to 28e and this wasn't picking upt he...
Hi
It's been about 9 months since I did my DIY install which can be seen in this post http://www.satellites.co.uk/satellite/picture-members-setups-general-satellite-installations/97132-my-diy-1-1m-motorised-triax.html
I have found that in windy weather the dish moves about and the reception...
Cheers all. The 2 below are in my price range.
The 'TM-9100 Super' looks ideal for what I want. Record onto a hard drive in the STB and then ftp into it and drag the video file out.
The 'TM-5200D USB' also looks like a possibility. Record onto the external hard drive and then connect that hard...
Hi All
Not sure if this is the correct section but.....I currently have a Technomate 1500 with a motorised dish.
I want a receiver that I can record on but then there must be a way of connecting this receiver to my pc so I can put the video on the pc and edit it etc.
I want to do this on a...
I'm thinking of filling the current pole with cement to try and make it more rigid as it has been wobbling about in the wind. Do yout think this will make any difference?
Hi
I finished my install as shown HERE.
The only worry I have is that with there being 6ft of unsecured pole above the top bracket and a 1.1m dish sitting on top makes for a fair bit of leverage and in windy conditions is there any chance the pole could bend?
It is a 16g steel 2" 10ft pole.
I would have prefered to use scaffold as it would probably have been stronger.
The flat roof did make it easier but sitting on top of the chimney tightening up the dish it still was very high up The pic makes it look lower than it is.
Ther only thing that worries me is that with there being...
I'm in the west Midlands (profile updated). I can pick up 23.5E fine but when I move the dish to 25.5E and search for channels it comes with a few names from 23.5E but you can't view them.
Analoguesat, Thanks for explaining. I assumed by the Euro in the name it covered Europe!
My Technomate was not pre-programmed with 25.5E so I entered it into the list manually but when I search for channels I am only picking up a few channels from 23.5E but you can't view them.
What am I doing wrong?
