Unit: Echostar AD300IPVA
Sympton: Noticed that a CI slot was trying to initialise itself continiously. A white band message kept appearing on the screen.
Looked at the CAM module section and saw:
1) Empty slot
2) Initialising CI card
3) ViaAccess enabled
At this point I lost the screen and...
Yes, it does have a beam over europe, but lyngsat puts me at about 2000km away from the edge of the 42dB bit, and that is rated for 120cm. My 60cm is good but won't do magic. At least I know how to do this for other birds. Cheers all.
Just a few notes. I read the sticky about the reference TPs.
http://www.satellites.co.uk/satellite/dish-setup-single-sat-multi-sat-motorised-systems/28972-strongest-reference-transponders.html
I have this TP without any problems on this bird:
Astra 1KR (19.2E) - 10832.25 H (RTBF/Òcko/TRWAM)...
I wonder:
I have an LNB pointing and recieving 5W. I know that Amos 1/2 is at 4W.
If I can lucky then I might be able to receive this on the same LNB.
How do I configure this. LNB1/ 5W is configured to switch 1 on the DisEq switch. Should I configure 4W also on LNB1 as a seperate...
Hi all,
I have set-up a Wavefrontier T55 with three LNBs that are:
5w 13e 19.2e
All channels on 5w are coming in with excellent signals.
19.2e comes in with a very good signal on most TPs.
13e is very poor.
Here are some notes on some channels:
19.2e
NT1 (Temportary FTA channel, France)...
Nice screengrab. I like the way this forum presents (new window imposed over a darkened background of this forum). Ok - I am off to realign dish because this has to be the problem. I have found a few channels that have sparkles there and some digital channels that a a little pixilated, so the...
Hi all,
Using information from both Lyngsat and RTBF's web site I tried to receive the channels from this TP, but when scanned was told there was nothing there.
I thought that perhaps my signal is poor from 19.2e but can receive plenty of other TPs and analouge channels without a problem.
I...
lol. I have version 300 on mine... oops.
by the way - I have been looking in the menus and cannot see an obvious way to delete transponders from satellites.
Any idea?
I telephoned Echostar and they said to update the firmware.
The techman told me that some of the TPs on 13E had some wierd anti-piracy code there that caused some receivers to lockup on scans when the TP was queried.
He said that the later firmware did not have this problem.
Hi all,
Are they many channels that are soft-encrypted and if so then where could I find a list of these for birds with footprints over Europe?
I ask because I would like to buy a good CAM if there are some out there.
Regards, z.
