Yes, it does have a beam over europe, but lyngsat puts me at about 2000km away from the edge of the 42dB bit, and that is rated for 120cm. My 60cm is good but won't do magic. At least I know how to do this for other birds. Cheers all.

I telephoned Echostar and they said to update the firmware. The techman told me that some of the TPs on 13E had some wierd anti-piracy code there that caused some receivers to lockup on scans when the TP was queried. He said that the later firmware did not have this problem.

I have no real interest in the adult channels. The decoder has ViaAccess builtin and a CI slot.

Hi all, Are they many channels that are soft-encrypted and if so then where could I find a list of these for birds with footprints over Europe? I ask because I would like to buy a good CAM if there are some out there. Regards, z.
