Hi. I'm using Gemini on a DM7020 although I think this question is Enigma related. There is a TV and a radio channel broadcasting on the same transponder and I'd like to record them both simultaneously. The user interface doesn't let me do this natively but would it be possible to add the pid of...

Thanks compufunk. After some googling I get the impression that CCcam is supposed to prefer local cards over remote but then I realized that it might be my setup that is the problem. It is in fact my friend who has the C:-line to me and he has 2 dreamboxes. Only one of them has a card that is...
Is it possible to configure CCcam to prefer my local card if a channel is available both there and on a remote card? With only one C: line in the config, CCcam seems to prefer the remote card...

I monitored the traffic on my NewCS server right now. For one user there is one request of 172 bytes and one answer of 66 bytes every 10th second. That means 60.4KiB sent to the server and 23.2KiB received from the server every hour per user when they're active. Yes, that's KiB so you can...
Just to clarify this: Bridge mode is different from ICS mode. In bridge mode you need the SAME subnet on all involved components since the bridge doesn't do routing but just frame copying. Compufunk's subnet examples above are perfectly correct for ICS mode though.
It would probably be easier to just create a bridge between your two PC NICs and put one IP on the bridge and make the IP in the DreamBox part of the same subnet. No messing around with routing and double layers of NAT that ICS introduce. Another more straight forward option would be to hook the...
Many many thanks. I was going to suggest the rar splitting since the ftp transfers can get corrupt sometimes but it seems you know what you're doing too ;-) As long as it's the original TS-data and no reencoding, it's perfectly fine to me to only have the parts with Enya if you can cut them...
B16MCC, my primary recording option was unsuccessful so if you were able to get the recording I'm very eager to get a copy of it if possible. I don't know what kind of Internet connection you have (although I'm in no hurry) or what transfer method you prefer. I can adapt to anything but I...
Thanks. I have a small forum where I collect and share performances of a few select artists and the thing is to keep them in their original MPEG2 format. Another person has offered to record this and transfer it to me but since weather always can mess things up a backup recording is always...
If anyone out there with a Dreambox and access to RTE1 feels kind enough to help me record the Late Late Show on Friday the 6th and let me download the ts-file, I'd be extremely grateful. Enya is visiting and I'd really love to have that video in high quality. I know it's a longshot but I have...
rolfw, you didn't happen to read my pm in time and record Sarah Brightman on "BBC Breakfast", did you? If you or anybody else happen to have a recording of that show or even "Turbridy Tonight" on RTE, I really would like to have a copy. :-)

Thanks HB13DISH. I regularly transfer files of these sizes since I share all my recorded videos with other fans on my forum. For that purpose I settled for BitTorrent for two reasons: It keeps the integrity of the file by calculating checksums which it monitors throughout the transfer...
