I have a TM6902, & had a similar problem, when I attached a 320GB hard drive, not long after purchasing the receiver.
What cured it, so that the receiver would play the original files, was to re-format the drive using the menu option on the receiver itself. Bingo! The saved files would then...
I used to like Aztec Bars when I was young (made by Cadbury's, if I remember rightly).
For a decent retro sweet store, try here:

PS: I remember Cresta, too. Lovely drink that was!
Thanks, everyone. I will get to sorting these files out when I get the chance (probably over Easter!).
One thing I really like about this forum is that there are so many people who are willing to help & give advice. Cheers!
Hello CH. Sorry for the delay. Damn work....always gets in the way!!
My old TM6900 used to save files in the .trp format, & there is software which can handle those (like iSkysoft for Mac).
However, this TM6902 saves movies as split files, with extensions .001, .002, & so on.
It also saves the...
Hello CH. Thanks for the reply.
It doesn't seem to matter whether I format the HD using the receiver or a pc. The recording saved files are all the same.

Realising his employer won't be best pleased; he disposes of the...
The usb version I have does NOT have top-up tv capabilities. No card slot, no cam facility.
However, the channel details ARE editable, and I am told it is possible to get at least one of the pay-tv channels open by using this method. ;)

Hi There.
I currently use a Twinhan PCI card, and for freeview, I have an external USB Hauppauge WinNova T. These seem to co-exist ok, even though my computer is a bit on the old side (PIII, 550MHz). I didnt have a spare pci slot for a terrestrial card!!
Hope this helps.
Woody.
