Dish elevation is certainly far too low for reference satellite.

In USALS, on your Receiver.

Please look again at Posts 7, 19, 26, 54, 55, 60, 61 etc where we've given you the correct Longitude to enter.

0.7W

Right - good one: I can see what's causing the problem now.

Ignore the leading zero as in 07.0 and then you'll see it's actually showing 7W

What you need to do is adjust it so it says 00.70 which is how it will show the correct Longitude of Zero POINT Seven West

ie Make sure the decimal point is immediately BEFORE the 7, not after it.

Ok?

Edit: Then Post up another pic of it so we can prove it's right - then leave it alone!

My Satellite Setup
Laminas 1.2M fibre dish with an IBU, on a Clarke Tech USALS motor, covering 57E - 24.5W to an Octagon SX88. Displayed on a 20" Dyon LED TV.

Seperate 80 cm dish on 28E with a Humax Freesat for SWMBO.
Free Sat V8 meter. Sony Bravia 46" LCD, Sony BluRay and Home Cinema.

As Satman says, the dish face is far too low to receive anything from Thor. And Tivù is correct, it should be 0.7°W

I still think your pole is way off vertical. If your house wall is vertical, the clamps holding the pole to the brackets should be both in the same position. At the moment it looks like your top clamp is nearer the wall than the bottom one. However, concentrate on at least getting a signal. Fine tuning the set up can wait.

I'm off for lunch and to dig out a scart lead from the builders mess in the porch. Hope you have success while I'm away!!

Yes indeed.

But when you start the final alignment, you need to select Thor, not 28E.

Thor is your South Satellite, so is the optimum one to use (It's not vital, when using USALS, but given your trials and tribulations so far I strongly recommend it!)

So choose "Go To Reference", then select Thor.

Best Transponder on Thor is the one which carries BBC World

ie 11325 H 24500 7/8

The Motor will move only a tiny amount from the due South position as the Longitude of Thor is almost identical to your own.

So hopefully all you will need to do is alter the dish bracket angle to find a signal.

Send the dish to Thor then please upload some new pictures as your dish looks incorrect if on 28E.
