"Many of the Eutelsat W2 channels are quite low power compared to 13E or 19E.. You shouldnt have too many problems with 10972V 27500 2/3.

You may well struggle with 11010V - it sufferes interference from 11009V on 19E analogue!
The same applies to 11021H - suffers from 11023H analogue"

I have tried the above and 10956 h 2821 2/3
10962 h 3146 3/4
1101 v 27500 3/4
but nothing on any of them... am I doing something wrong here is what I am doing,

menu 6-6-1
number 3 being 10972
number 4 being v
number 5 being 27500
number 6 being 2/3

then back to number 3 and enter and the blue signal is way low say 5%
is my 88cm too small?
Lets be logic, whats best then to continue with this sat or to try 5 or 7* if they offer more power ?

Hmm strange. I would have thought 10972V is more than strong enough to be had on your 88cm dish (although I have to admit Ive got my 1m dish on 16E at the moment).

If you want to try 5E use the Ukrainian channels on 11766 H 27500 3/4 as they are about the strongest.

Try this oneto start with:

11304 V 30000 3/4

hi mrminibus,

i use to have an 88cm triax on 16e for digi albsat and my reckoning is try for
11513v28800
11554v 30000
12568h 3703 (sic)

i think you should get something from where you are at, i used to get roughly between 75% to 85% for the albsat, it used to fluctuate a bit, up and down a bit etc! For the other frequencys i mentioned i found them stable at 83% to a 89% speaking from hartlepool in the north east uk. otherwise if you still cant get nothing what about 1mtr dish, but really you should get something.

regards john

what am I doing wrong!
I have tried both of them and I get the same.... nothing!
I get channel 6 with english as the only audio
and espn classic with english, german and polish audio, am I on 5* ?
I have 80% stength and 90% quality on channel 6 which would make me think if the frequency you gave me is strong I should get it with ease...????

@john thanx for your input but the outcome was the same...
no signal, I must say though that on menu 6-6-1 on the signals I do get its very irratic say 50% signal and the a 10th of a second later no signal and then back to 50% maybe the dish just isn't big enough for 16*....

Right I am still having no luck with finding channels.
I have and can watch channel 6-yet if I do a menu 6-6-1 and enter12111 H
MPEG-2
27500 5/6
It tells me that my signal is like non existant but yet I know I have a good signal because if I exit and put channel 6 on I can watch it perfect with the top bar at about 80% and the bottom at 90%....
Has anyone got any ideas as to where I should go from here, apart from the pub :)

Later S/W updates (v.800 onwards) improved speed a little.

Hi colinp - catching up with the news as Ive been away for a couple of weeks. The 3600 is the later version of the 3000 and should be a cracking piece of kit too. :)

Remember the receiver is a 6 or 7 year old design so if it changes channel in under 2 seconds its doing well!! Upgrade to the latest software version (on the Echostar site) and hope it improves it a bit.

The whole receiver is 6-7 years outdated, so what do you expect??

Echostar have abandoned support for the receiver so there wont be any more updates. Im afraid its a case of live with it or buy a newer receiver.....

Still excellent for driving 36V motors though.

Limited choice now for positioner- equipped STBs. Diseqc controlled motors? No thanks, not with my dish O-no

So what are you saying that you think the 36volt Echostar system is better than the Diseqc system, I ask this as the Echostar system is the only one I have ever used...
