For Echostar 3000 users

any one know if you can use world of satellites 2 satcodx to load to a echostar ad3000 ??
any help would be great and any setting would be nice
or just yes it can even as iv been trying but not had any luck yet

You can import the Satcodx files of the satellites you want to load in your Echostar to the Litzinger setedit prog, and upload to your receiver that way.

If anyone needs it, I have the original downloaded zip files for Version 901Beta (very good), 1000 (not good!) , & 1100 (good).

Of course, the channel lists are way out-of-date in all of these versions.

the echostar 3000 i have is about 4 years old, the days when it was advertised as a singer and dancer, anyhow at the moment i am not using it mainly because the handle is a bit knackered, but the one thing i found out about it, was, i cannot insert 11092 v 32000 in it ( digi alb ), have any of you guys had the same problem? if you have the card.

Echo 3000's dont like symbol rates above 30,000.... It will take it, but picture quality on the fta channels is hopeless

Posting from memory here, so could be wrong.

If the 4 years old echostar 3000 has original software it might not get 32000 channels at all. I think this was fixed with latest software.

AD-30000 IP Viaccess model

Hi all
well Iv got it working after a lot of messing about, got my dragon cam and am very happy to have it all working again after not being use for a good few years pluged in but never used.

but I cant seem to get a editor to work with up loading.
I have Litzinger setedit prog, old version but i can not get the files to load in from World of Satellites II?
i really wont to get this working as i know ill mess it up at some point and just wont to load all my setting back.

any help would be great

Hello all, I am new here so hope I am posting in the right place. I have this receiver too. Also a couple of questions about it :

1. Are there new OTA Echostar software update frequencies. Or have Echostar abandoned them. I don't see mention now of any frequencies on the Echostar website. The frequency programmed into the receiver just produces the error message: "upgrade failure". My existing software is 800 so not too out of date.

2. This machine is 3-4 years old. So will the embedded Viaccess work with an up-to-date Viaccess card? Or do I need to buy a new CAM in order to view ART (for football), with an card which is Viaccess 2.

Ota updates for the 3000's were scrapped 18 months or so ago.

The via cam should work with via 2 cards.

Hi again,
An OTA update not being possible, I am getting the connecting cable (USB-RS232) to link my laptop to the Echostar, and have got the software from the Echostar site. Can some kind and more experienced person talk me through the process of uploading to the sat receiver (or point out a relevant web link, if this is already documented somewhere).

Presumably you have aquired the 'SoftwareLoader' application from Echostar's site. This includes a document explaining the procedure.

I have now - many thanks. Echostar notes don't 'arf make it look a performance compared with the OTA procedure. If I have further queries, I'll ask.

i sometimes use an echostar 3000, and a art card works in my machine.

Thanks. I now have an ART card and it works well with the Echostar's embedded Viaccess. I needed to get the station parameters by doing a full scan of Hotbird transponders because, for some reason, putting the station info in manually did not work. Was eventually pleased cos a 12 month card was only £86 including p&p.

when i am on astra 1, some of the german channels are in dolby digital rtl1,zdf etc and the problem is evey time i go on to one of the channels to recieve the audio i have to manually change the audio to get the sound, then when i move to another and then back again to the channel with the problem i am back to square one, no sound again, it always seems to have been the problem where it does not seem to hold the audio of my choice. the echostar is 3000 and must be at least 4 years old but i still use it for an art card and works well for that.

Thats not a fault with your box mine is the same I have to change the audio when I turn to say People & Arts and if I got to say taquilla 1 the back I have to swap the audio- look at it this way this box isn't perfect then, just very nearly

I loaded 341 pred and have been told there is lots on offer on 5* and 7* east.
I spent all night trying to find the sats but had no luck, I have just found out there is lots on 16* fta at the mo.
I have put my dish on 13* and put a stick in the garden to mark it, I have done the same with 19.2* and the theory is there is only one sat in between being 16* so I think i'm on the right sat.
I have an 80% quality and have watched the dish move it is definatly in between 13 & 19.2* yet when I do a menu 6-6-1 and enter the frequency

FamilyMax (11492/V/ 30000-3/4)
My blue loader bar shows only about an inch in other words no signal, if I scan anyway it brings back nothing.
The only channels I have found are
tv7 and rtk1 am I on the right sat ??? why no signal I just dont understand
I would appreciate any help on this matter.

Many of the Eutelsat W2 channels are quite low power compared to 13E or 19E.. You shouldnt have too many problems with 10972V 27500 2/3.

You may well struggle with 11010V - it sufferes interference from 11009V on 19E analogue!
The same applies to 11021H - suffers from 11023H analogue.

Other fairly easy ones to get should be the high bit rate bulgarians and romanians..

I have to admit I quite lijke 16E - I have a soft spot for the Eastern European stations.

You wont get anything if you try 11492 - thats on a spot beam pointing at Madagascar!

Check your bema sand symbol rates carefully:
