You must be doing something wrong, 1 dodgy box is a possibility, but not the amout you have gone through.

You must be missing a button push. Both my 5302's are flawless. (Apart from the 45000 symbol rate issue)

As you said something is wrong, very wrong.

So you will need to start checking things one by one.

Perhaps @Milamber can help you with this.............

Does the lnb switch polarity properly?

Please describe your cable connections?

E.g. Coax from lnb into the motor, motor to sat box?

Or are you using more than 1 cable?

i still think its these crappy technomate receivers.. buggy software maybe.. the blade7000s seems ok.. i dunno mate, getting ready to give it up as a bad joke.

i already did in pm Chris but yep worth doing here, inverto twin lnb, twin cable, ( only using 1 cable tho.. from lnb to motor to receiver..noting fancy

Jokes aside, I no nothing about the TM boxes, but from what you describe, including comments from other members, sounds like a software issue.

Sounds a little stupid to try this, but as a specialist fault finder in a previous life, try asking for a very small spread , ie. 10714 - 10729 for example, see if it still scans the full spectrum.
If it does, I fear Scopus may be correct that it a problem with the software / firmware.
However, all is not lost, Chris states his works ok, and @william-1 is well versed in these boxes and may be able to help.
Try asking Chris for his software, firmware and build version and go from there?

I already am using Chris's software build, and yes i have scanned a very small section as you suggest, it exactly the same as the 5502 i just returned, it works once in a blue moon.. i don't get it.

I got rid of these receivers, I found the blindscan to slow, apart from the 8000 which is fast, but it missed several transponders. Also, with the 8000 I added a new satellite then tried to add the motor function, then it screwed all my positions in my V Box.
In my opinion it is unfinished software, that Technomate cannot get the writers to correct..

As 2 technomate boxes & the sat card, with the same problem?

I think you need to start to fault finding.

Technomate recommends factory reset before and after the installation of software.
