Take a picture or three of the dish (front/rear/near/far) and post them.

It might be that someone here can identify an immediate fault on the install without you trying things to improve reception (and making it worse)
i just think its slighty off target so it needs moving a little bit

That is the start of a slippery slope. Like badly laid block paving, once it's down there is nothing you can do to improve it.

You should not be losing any channels in anything short of a monsoon like downpour or wet snow on the dish these days now all the old lower powered birds are out of service.

Ergo your dish alignment is suspect or the lnb skew has been knocked.

Or the cable is damaged and the cable is full of water - Ive seen that in the past!

I use a Zone 1 dish a fair bit further North than you and only get brief outages in really torrential rain. Using Zone 2 won't prevent that - Even my 80cm and 1m dishes are affected in severe conditions.

Edit: Dang that @Analoguesat! :-lol

You shouldn't need a Zone 2 dish in the Nottingham area. Something else is wrong, most likely the dish alignment or LNB skew. Other possibilities are faulty LNB or faulty LNB.

Spray furniture polish on your white thing .... repels water fairly well.

Furniture polish, wd40, gt85, plusgas, whatever you have that repels water.

No, it's just a dust and water cap.

The feedhorn is what it's covering.

Edit: Not again ..... :-buttkick
