Summer is almost here: Just got back from our walk and there are Swallows perched on the telephone wires.

The Curlews are out and about on the Moors, too.

No Cuckoo yet, but we've heard the Green Woodpecker giving it large in recent days.

Edit: Nearly forgot - SWMBO has taken off her coat.

We have been hearing cuckoos for the last week, and a woodpecker too. However it definitely isn't barbie weather - pouring with rain and 12 degrees centigrade. That's why Galicia is so green...

Spent the day removing the air condition protection housing and repainting the faded red paint, will finish the red tomorrow and repaint the green window frames later.

Near enough the same here, a mixture of hail & sleet during parts of the day and when the sun was out, there was a bitter wind. Last night saw it go down to -4c and I have the central heating on since mid-afternoon. This time last week I was walking around in shorts and the neighbours were sunbathing!

Can't complain too much, the weather here for April has been very good.
