The dish only needs to be 'two drunk' high for trouble, and that's not including stones, cans or catapults.
My thoughts exactly, I'll get a shorter bracket and mount it higher.

I would also move the mount further away from the edge of the wall - you don't want it to start pulling out bricks in high winds (very unlikely BTW, but better be safe than sorry and all that jizz)

It needs to be as close to the edge so it can see in the East.

Looking suspiciously like a t +k combo for an aerial, the aluminium pole will not be suitable for a dish and motor.

This is better. AS SAT 26905 Corner Wall Mount. On Amazon.
That looks interesting, was looking for a corner mount. However that would be impossible to get plumb.

I do not think so. Provided the holes are drilled in the correct place, can always use a shim to pack and the bracket could be tweaked to get it 100%.
I was getting one but after doing a scan of 5W and 28E on the tablet Satfinder I decided on placing the dish around the back of the house. More work to fit but if anyone wants Freesat they only have to move the dish from 5W to 28E.

Stick with what you have (that corner mount looks grim). Besides you have already made ten holes in your walls.

Not renting I hope.

He is thinking of sub letting to mice and is ensuring they each have their own entrance.

I've filled all the holes. That Fischer Mortar works well for that.

At least you have now discovered the disadvantages of single plate wall mounts.

You can, with a bit of ingenuity, bolt a second bar to the vertical section of the post, offset slightly to gve your motor some further 'reach' around the corner.

Where does everyone put their K, I have normally put the K at the bottom and the T at the top.
But looking at some installs a well know installer has done they have put the K at the top on every install.
Looked at a few other sites and see the same again, K a the top....

Er... I used to put K at the top and T at the bottom but recently swapped it around on some advice from here. But I still don't really know which way is best.

Probably.....

I've always favoured the K at the top, especially if your dish/motor assembly is above the K, then the bracket provides a bit more support. However, if your assembly is between the brackets I don't think it will make much difference...

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
I'd go with the K at the top and the T below that - because, generally, you can mount the pole on the K alone and then position the T to correct any side-side "non-verticality" in it, and the slots in the T to correct any front-to-back "non-verticality" in it.

Edited: & here's another thought: if the dish is above the top bracket then most of the wind-loading will be on that top bracket - so that is where you need the strongest attachment to the wall, and that will be the K bracket as it more fixings than the T-bracket.

You know I'm going to go with the majority on here, so far K is winning at the top :)
