Seriously bloody cold here considering it's 1st of August..
Anyhoo ..
fixed what I consider to be yet another design flaw ..
This time on the pole bracket ..
Having lifted the whole dish and motor up the pole about 1cm this morning and fitted a new top plate..to the pole..using a huge car jack.
......mine was rusting..
(Very much needed but _not_ the fix.)
I set about fitting what I guess are stabilizer bolts in the side of the pole bracket,,,
with these I can adjust the bracket/motor atop the pole for absolute vertical ..
Too much play at the E/W extremes which simple pole clamping is inadequate..
Thus ..without the stabilizer bolts the weight of the dish makes the clamp bracket 'wobble' a few mm..
Not any more it doesn't
