Some SAT-related hardware.

Height dish = 1935 mm + 2 x15 = 1965 mm
Thanks for that. Did you measure to the green point (attached picture)?
I am ready to agree that vertical size of WOD is 1935mm, especially after Laminas made changes in the specifications concerning to offset angle, which is now 21,5*. In that case AS-1800 becoming very unique dish on the market with such a small offset angle, at least I do not know any other dish with offset angle smaller than 22,2*.

OK, I see, thanks. Could you describe the process (or show some picture) how did you measure distance to the point which is inside the feedarm (or in the air, if feedarm is removed)?

I have 2 feedarms: one on the dish and another in front of me (not installed)

That is fine. But how did you measure vertical dimension of the working area of the dish? How did you read digits on the measuring tape when green dot is not marked on the surface but "hanging" in the air?

I measured without the main feedarm with a laser measurer , 2 square metal tubes of 2 m, several real meter, 2 right angle tool, three other people also took the measurements without me,
same result.

the dish was brought to ground for measurements

the green dot is at the bottom of the dish

Now now I have no more laser measurer.

They are both showing 21.5 at the moment. I think Rimant got to them first!

OK, This is the message I have sent to my contact in Laminas.

"
Hi Chris, going to order some more 1200 very soon, I only have one left and it´s been sold.
Have some questions about the AS1800 re offset angle. You website has just changed to 21.5.
We, some friends of mine, are working on a rotational LNB changer for use on various dishes and would like some serious technical input from yourself, or one of your designers. This idea is only for hobby people at the moment, but the guys behind it are absolute experts.
Would be really nice if one of your technical people would assist.
Thanks
Brian"

If and when I get a response, I need to know if anyone has objections about me asking a major manufacturer of satellite dishes to even look at this.
I have not advised any information about this site, or thread.
IF ANYONE HAS OBJECTIONS PLEASE SAY NOW
Otherwise, on receipt of reply, I will post a direct link to this thread for them to look at!

OK, understood. But I wish to buy more dishes:D

Edit, not being funny, please state exact question you asked, English is not his first language, and sometimes things get lost. I also have another contact!

I called directly Chris several times but I preferred to receive technical data by email, English is not my first language, so Laminas can help, that's fine.
