It aint that simple , three diff, lenght of beam , three diff. angle motor side plates , three diff. side arm brackets .
In that case, make it adjustable between these points.

We can theorise all we want but without physical access to the dish, I doubt you will ever be able to have the concrete figures you are looking for. Practical tests (with the changer!) will beat any theoretical calculations.

I agree CJ , right now I'm working on it .
I've seen your skills , once its at your dish , you can make adjustments and give feedback .
I hope to send them (CJ and Cardiff) befor sunday .

After some e-mail conversations with Chris from Laminas there is extract, which, I think, capture their idea. I've highlighted main clauses IMHO. ScreenHunter_721 May. 12 15.44.jpg
Basically it is all about side lobes and ground noise reduction. But, at the same time, change of LNB's aiming point does not change much (not noticeable). Laminas intentionally pointed feed ~43mm lower than antenna's geometrical center. My personal conclusion- we should do more experiments with feed pointing and notice "unnoticeable" difference.
Meanwhile, for @Trust1 , I think it is appropriate to continue making changers and using Laminas data from producer.

Background noise .... we spoke earlier about that in the aiming discussion @RimaNTSS .

Finished the two changers , both adjustable between the Parabola ( X1 ) and Laminas ( X2 ) calculations .
The motor together with the side-plates can be attached at different positions .
The motor between the side-plates can be tilted by the slotted holes .
The beam is at dish side clamped in the former Technirotor pole clamp .
There are two marks on it , with X1 its pulling out a few cm's , with X2 its even with the clamp .
The holes in that clamp to connect it to the dish are more close to each other than the original in the dish .
Two new holes must be drilled , I added a plate to locate the place for the new holes , it can also be used to reinforcement on that spot .
When the final setup is found , the beam can be secured by drilling holes through that clamp and screws in it .

A little off topic, especially in light of the previous post, although I´m sure that will soon be resolved.
I was wandering round one of the local supermarkets today and saw something I just had to buy to celebrate all the hard work done here. ( Also to celebrate I now have a J 1224 and the strengthening plate is on the way. Made by a forum member I will not name, but it is 5mm inox )
Back to the off topic, I thought this was very appropriate to celebrate the birth of the new " rotary lnb changer " for the Laminas dish.
( Coke will be provided for those who like soft drinks )
Cheers to all, for all the hard work and input:-whipb
