A friend brought a star track world-in-box from abroad worked for about 2 weeks now showing 88:88 on front display(blocked). any help appreciated or can it be fixed in a sat shop in england if yes which one? thanks.

Arion 1700, World In A Box, Star sat, all the same software.
Or, how can I flash chip, and with which software.

I am having problem with the reciever I got from Asia
Is World in box 2ci, I want to be able to use the cams init but the cam shows up but it does not work.
I want to disable the EMU function in the reciever.
I have tried to upgrade the software but it does not work, The software on the reciever is dated MAY 2004, I tried to update boot with buc-file-26.08.zip That too did not work I have even purchased a ready made cable from computer shop.

Please if you nice people can help me thankyou so much.

try to flash the recever with the latest software on www.starsw.com ,
if it still doesnt work, jtag will be the only way to fix it!

did u get "download fail" while upgrading the loader?

please make sure you have got the right cable line(2-3,3-2,5-5)

Dear Friends,
I have WORLD-IN-BOX ll STAR TRACK satellite digital receiver.
I want to downlaod Software into this receiver. I got Software and
also an Software Downloader like "Aironer 0.24"
But I can`t download Software!!!
The problem is that first I choose the Software,
after that I press to "Send program to IRD" after
that I turn on my receiver. Then I`m getting message
Download Fail!
Please let me know that whats going wrong here, and
Is there any other Software Downloader for this digital
satellite receiver? Thank you

Yes I got the Software from this website.
It was from 07.09.2005 and also it was for version
for WIB ll!!!
I also saw there an Software Downloader like Aironer 0.24.
Still couldn`t getting Software into my receiver.

Yes I get Download Fail on Arioner v0.24 but the reciever starts up like normal.

Autoarioner showed this but not transfer software:-
Type: stk Ver: ars1 model: s841ci

The Information on reciever is:-----------
Hardware version: WorldinboxII+ci
Software version: $STKA3745S841CI
Database version: 00600009
Boot version : 0011.1

I didn`t understood what you mean?
But me too getting the same message like
"Download Fail"

First I selct the latest Software that I downloaded from
www.starsw.com after that I use Aironer 0.24 as Software Downloader.
I choose the file and then press to Send program to IRD.
Then I turn on my receiver. And then I am getting this message:
Download Fail!!!
Kindly can some one suggest some other solution for this receiver? Thank you

Dont be so impatient - theres probably dozens of folks who use this forum have one. Remember - many folks only log on a couple of times a week.

I flashed one of these without a problem last month. Are you removing the power lead and NOT just putting it in standby mode. Also Try one of the earlier patches to determine if the new software is actually OK.

I`m just searching for more info about this
sat receiver.

The null modem cable is working fine with my echostar reciever I am able to edit setting and send them back to reciever.

Since I got the reciever in June 2004 Its never been updated, I am unable to find any older software like e.g july 2004 etc.

I have tried files from this forum that are like 29th may 2005 but they too do not work.

I switch the reciever off from the back there is a flip switch and then ON.

If you can tell me if I can switch the EMU off that might help me to use the cams atleast.
