yes, you need upgrade your receiver's boot loader before upgrading software.
you get "download fail" while downloading " S841CISKV_$STK_A4048_20040602_BUCPCn.buc", that means u got the right cable, but the receiver didnt take the right loader file.

so ,i think there is sth. wrong with your receiver's hardware.
maybe u can try to replace the 232 ic chip on your receiver.

If you can tell me if I can switch the EMU off that might help me to use the cams atleast.

I tried with just deleating the seca and viacess keys as the channels were using these, My dragon cam did not work with it, however the dragon cam is recognised and I can access the menus of the cam etc.

You might be right about the chip. but thats all too risky I feel I need older software to try first like august 2004 files.

3. There is no option for switching the EMU off. Ahh well I think I will have to stick with the old software and use it as a FTA reciever and never buy a cam again I was hoping that in future I will get a subcription of some channel but...

p.s btw I used to switch the reciever off from the button at the back and not take the plug out. I think the button works same as a main switch but... then again I dont know much.

Thnx just got it I will try some time and reprt back. There is less chance of finding someone else with a same reciever so rx to rx seems unlikely but I have been informed that there is a shop and the man there might be able to help.

Its worth trying what have we got to loose.

Most of polsat channels have already gone to some form of nagra2 and is only available with official cards now.

so, we need to wait a long time before these channels been hacked again...
